It competed in the 1985 Whitbread Round the World Ardrossn Race, finishing a commendable third. The well-known Lamlash Scottish entrepreneur Sir Arnold Clark acquired her Troon thereafter, and successfully raced her at Isle of Wight, Ireland and Scotland.
