The Grammar Academy team have developed a fun, unique and academic literacy program aimed specifically for non-resident English speaking and writing learners. Our materials are uniquely differentiated alongside our experienced staff. Set in the wonderful and extremely academic environment of Ackworth School, founded in 1779.
Our summer school offers students a safe and secure environment in which they will be exposed to culturally rich and socially engaging activities; these are all related to the academic tasks to complement each other. It is important to us that our students enjoy their summer experience in a safe and secure environment with access to the best teaching staff.
Our team of tutors are friendly, qualified and experienced with teaching outside of the classroom environment. Our tutors embed learning aims and keywords into the excursions to enable students to develop their ability to memorise experiences and apply the keywords within their literature tasks.
The Grammar Academy will provide all of our students with an individualised learning plan and an experience to remember! The summer program which we have developed is fun, unique and academic. The outcomes are measured with pre and post assessment tasks to evidence how much progress has been made by each individual within the program.

DOES MY CHILD GET A CERTIFICATE? Yes of course! Your child will be awarded at a ceremony with the Ackworth School principle and a photograph of the ceremony. This can be shown to prospective further education establishments to show attendance and commitment towards a course overseas.

HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY SHOULD MY CHILD TAKE? It is up to you how much spending money you give to your child, however food and travel is all accounted for within the cost of the trip. It is suggested that you do give your child some spending money for the shopping experiences or transfer additional funds to The Grammar Academy to give to your child upon arrival on the course
WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE GIVEN TO EAT? The breakfasts will be vegetarian and include a selection of cereals and continental delicacies with fruit and healthy options. Lunch will either be packed or provided by our carefully selected outside caterers (sample menus can be provided) Dinners will be given in the school dining hall every evening or the students will be taken for dining experiences as part of elocution and socialisation. HOW DO I PAY FOR THE DEPOSIT/FULL AMOUNT? Deposit with application form – 1, 000 AED Full payment must be made by 18th April 2019 WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU FOLLOW? We teach all our language towards the British Curriculum, however students following an International Curriculum would equally benefit from the course.
WHAT DO I DO FOR INSURANCE/MEDICAL COVER? You must ensure that you get overseas medical and baggage cover for your child and their belongings. The Grammar Academy does not accept liability for any losses or medical issues.
