Ridgewood, NJ-August 27, 2011: The Ridgewood Knights of Columbus Council 1736 once again hosted their annu - al stickball tournament, on Saturday, September 24th beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Passaic Street in Ridgewood. The entrance fee was $100 for a team of four. There were trophies for first, second, and third place. Refreshments, hotdogs, and hamburgers were served. There was also a 50/50 raffle. Benefit proceeds went to the Ridgewood Police PBA and the New Jersey Firefighter’s Mutual Benevolent Association. Building A Wheelchair Ramp The South for the Squires to build this ramp alone so he asked if our Plainfield council could help. On Sunday, September 11, 2011 the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11 members of Jesus the Lord Council 12232 led parishioners of Jesus the Lord Church in saying a rosary for the victims of 9/11, their families and for peace in the world. PAGE 12 Knights of Columbus was the Special Olympics Top Fundraiser in New Jersey On October 1st, “Special Olympics New Jersey” hosted its annual Plane Pull Event at Newark Liberty Airport. A total of 39 organizations and com - panies participated to raise money for our New Jersey Special Citizens this year. The Schreiner Agency and our State Deputy, Dan Rossi entered the Knights of Columbus Team for this great cause. We can be proud to say that we came in 1st Place by raising over $7,500. Amazingly, we man - aged to pull the 93,000 pound plane with just six men.
