HBO opens access to the first episodes of new series and seasons in October
MIAMI, Fla., October 5, 2016 – During the month of October, HBO will give free access to the premieres of its newest original series and to the first episodes of the new seasons of its award winning shows, for a limited time, on HBO GO, HBO On Demand and HBOMAX.tv.
The shows included are among the most anticipated premieres of 2016: Westworld: Inspired by the film of the same name, the new original series is a dark odyssey about the emergence of artificial intelligence and the evolution of the idea of sin, exploring a world where each human desire, noble or depraved, can be forgiven. Starring a stellar cast including Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden and Rodrigo Santoro, the first episode of the new original series is currently available through October 31st.
Divorce: The story of a very, very long divorce follows the lives of Frances and Robert, as they deal with the consequences of a broken marriage, after over a decade of being married and with two children. Frances soon discovers that a new start is harder than she imagined. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church, the first episode will be available from October 10th to October 31st.
Insecure: Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, the original comedy series follows the life of Issa and Molly, two African-American women that must face their own shortcomings of their daily lives as they attempt to navigate through different worlds and deal with a number of uncomfortable everyday experiences. Starring Rae herself, the first episode of the new original comedy series will be available from October 10th to October 31st.
High Maintenance: Narrated with humor from the point of view of a friendly marijuana dealer from Brooklyn known as “The Guy,” the series shows the daily routines of the dealer’s clients and how they connect, revealing a city full of strangers united by their permanent search for the greatest pleasures in life. The first episode of this new comedy series is currently available through October 15th.
Quarry: Based on the successful books by Max Allan Collins, the original drama revolves around US Naval gunner Mac Conway, known as Quarry, who tries to readapt himself to a normal life after fighting in the Vietnam War. The first episode of the new original series, which recently premiered on MAXPrime, is currently available until October 12th. The second episode is also available until October 19th.
