PANEL MEMBERS Jada Vine Megan Whitehouse Apprenticeships Lead, Unilever Food Solutions Unilever UK & Ireland Apprentice Joba Fakile Samantha Whitbread Carelines Go-Live Assistant HR Business Support Partner to Personal Care QUESTIONS & ANSWERS Are there any particular A levels / A level grades you need to join an apprenticeship? The entry requirements vary by programme, in most cases you don’t need specific A Levels, but for some such as our Research & Development programme you will need strong Science based A Levels. All our job adverts are available to see on the website along with the specific educational requirements which are noted under each programme. Is time set aside for studying when on the apprenticeships? Yes. With an apprenticeship, 20% of your time is spent learning “off the job”. This means time spent in classroom teachings (real or virtual), discussing topics in virtual forums, completing coursework, attending workshops or studying for exams. For our higher and degree programmes we also expect apprentices to commit some of their own time each week to independent study and learning. What type of opportunities are available in the Finance Sector? We offer a Level 4 Accountancy apprenticeship which leads to a professional qualification in CIMA or ACCA. These roles are available in Leatherhead, Kingston and Port Sunlight and start in September (apply now!). How much do you earn per year from a Unilever apprenticeship? Salaries vary by location and programme but they are competitive. There is also progression each year as you become more experienced in the role. If you apply for a particular role then you will be able to ask a member of the recruitment team for more details. When can you apply for an apprenticeship? We are now open for a September start! QUESTIONS & ANSWERS I'm interested in the Supply Chain Apprenticeship and wondered where they are based as I'm in the North West. We offer an Advanced Engineering and Intermediate Manufacturing apprenticeship based in our Leeds factory, this is where we make a lot of our famous deodorants (personal care).

So it shouldn’t surprise you that in a recent survey, the majority of employees considered it a valuable addition to their benefits package. With the brand new online vouchers from Specsavers, we believe the best value corporate eyecare scheme is now the easiest too. They still start from just £17 for a full eye test, a pair of VDU glasses (if required specifically and solely for VDU use) worth up to £45, and retinal screening for the over-40s or when recommended by your optometrist. But now you can simply order and pay for eVouchers online and email them direct to your staff, saving you all time and paperwork. What’s more, you’ll automatically get detailed feedback on whoever’s redeemed an eVoucher, such as their retest dates and VDU requirements, at no extra charge. Not only that but your staff can still save £20 on their own glasses purchases, too.
