Dr. Makhonmani Mongsatabam Began his career as a short story writer since his early days. A prominent creative writer, essayist, screenplay writer, playwright, lyricist, editor and columnist. Beside he worked as an actor and director both stage and film under the guidance of Ojah Ratan Thiyam in theatre. Travelled many places of India and abroad to participate international theatre festivals, International Film Festivals as a theatre actor, Director. Started film career in 1980s. Received three National Film awards (two Rajat Kamal and One Swarna kamal ), State film Awards as an producer, director for the film Chatledo Eidee. Produced and directed tele plays, Serial for Delhi Doordarshan, DDK Imhpal and PPC Guwahati etc. A recipient of Sahitya Akademi Award for his travelogue Chiglon Amadagi Amada. Manipur State Kala Akademi Award in literature on the same book. Published 11 books on different genre. He was the Board member of EZCC, Kolkata, EMMVRC, Manipur University, member of Manipuri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi New Delhi and Manipur State Kala Akademi. At present, executive member of Manipur State Film Development Council, Editor, Apunba Manipur Matam Eshei (AMMIK), Board member of EZCC, Dimapur . Rai, Sonepat – 131029, Haryana (India) Dr. Prabhakar Machwe (1917-1991) Prolific writer, linguist and an authority on Indian literature, Dr. Prabhakar Machwe was born on 26 December 1917 at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He graduated from Vikram University, Ujjain and obtained Masters in Philosophy, 1937, and English Literature, 1945, Agra University; Sahitya Ratna and Ph.D, Agra University, 1957. Dr. Machwe started his career as a lecturer in Madhav College, Ujjain, 1938-48. He worked as Literary Producer, All India Radio, Nagpur, Allahabad and New Delhi, 1948-54. He was closely associated with Sahitya Akademi from its inception in 1954 and served as Assistant Secretary, 1954-70, and Secretary, 1970-75. Dr. Machwe was Visiting Professor in Indian Studies Departments at the University of Wisconsin and the University of California on a Fulbright and Rockefeller grant (1959-1961); and later Officer on Special Duty (Language) in Union Public Service Commission, 1964-66. After retiring from Sahitya Akademi in 1975, Dr. Machwe was a visiting fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies, Simla, 1976-77, and Director of Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad, Calcutta, 1979-85. He spent the last years of his life in Indore as Chief Editor of a Hindi daily, Choutha Sansar, 1988-91. Dr. Prabhakar Machwe travelled widely for lecture tours to Germany, Russia, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Japan and Thailand. He organised national and international seminars on the occasion of the birth centenaries of Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, and Sri Aurobindo between 1961 and 1972.

Govt announces linking of OTPRMS certificates with DigiLocker Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced linking of Online Teacher Pupil Registration Management System, OTPRMS certificates with DigiLocker. This has been done in order to ensure hassle free access to verified OTPRMS Certificates. The issued certificates will automatically be transferred to DigiLocker and the same may be traced at the website of National Council for Teacher Education and DigiLocker. The Minister also informed that the registration fee of 200 rupees payable for obtaining OTPRMS Certificates, issued by NCTE has been waived off. This will enable all stakeholders across India to be digitally empowered facilitating ease of doing business. I&B Minister inaugurates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav exhibitions at 6 places Information and Broadcasting Minister, Prakash Javadekar inaugurated the exhibition to commemorate 75 years of India‟s Independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at six places in the country virtually. Agrahara Krishna Murthy Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi Born on 18th January 1953 in Village Agrahara, Tumkur, Karnataka. Education: Agrahara Krishna Murthy did his B.A. and M.A. from Bangalore University and P.G. Diploma in Tamil from Banaras Hindu University. Though his mother tongue is Telugu, which he can read and speak, he writes in Kannada and English. Besides these languages, he can speak and read Hindi. Publication: Some of his important publications include one novel Neeru Mattu Preeti (2001) which was earlier serialized in Lankesh Patrike in 1985, one collection of poems, Dhyana (2006), Beldingalappana Pooje (Folklore Studies 1976, 1998), Bahuvachana (writings on literature and culture, 2006), Samskriti Kathana (Ed. Critical Essays of the late D.R. Nagaraj, 2 eds. Aug.2002, Nov.2002), Dara Shikuh (translation of Majma-ul-Bahrain, biography) etc. Edited 110 books in different genres in the Kuvempu Centenary Series for C.V.G. Publications, Bangalore along with three other scholars and released all the 110 books at a time in December 2004. He has translated into Kannada, several short stories from Malayalam, Tamil and Urdu. Over the last three decades, he has published numerous essays and critical articles on language, literature, culture etc., in newspapers, magazines and other journals. Narender Khajuria (Nilamber Dev Sharma)
NARENDER KHAJURIA By enriching Dogri literature and its different genres Narender Khajuria (1933-70) has contributed indirectly to the building up of the corpus of Indian Literature. He produced a considerable body of literature, both in Dogri and Hindi within a span of 15years. He was awarded a prize by Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Academy for his collection of One-Act Plays' As Bhag Jagane Ale Aan. He also won the Sahitya Akademi Award (posthumously) for his collection of short stories, Neela Ambar, Kale Badal. Though he died at the age of 37, he has carved out a permanent niche for himself in Dogri Literature. Prof. Nilamber Dev Sharma (b. 1931) is a critic, short story writer, essayist and a translator. His contribution to the Dogri Literature is unique. He has also translated a number of books into Dogri. In this slender volume Professor Sharma evaluates the life and work of Narender Khajuria for the benefit of non-Dogri readers. DELHI SAHITYA AKADEMI TRANSLATION PRIZE PRESENTATION September 4-6, 2015, Dibrugarh ahitya Akademi organized its Translation Prize, 2014 at the Dibrugarh University premises on September 4-6, 2015. Prizes were presented on 4th, Translators’ Meet was held on 5th and Abhivyakti was held on S5th and 6th. Winners of Translation Prize with Ms. Pratibha Ray, Chief Guest, President and Secretary of Sahitya Akademi On 4th September, the first day of the event started at 5 pm at the Rang Ghar auditorium in Dibrugarh University. The Translation Prize, 2014 was held on the first day itself, where twenty four writers were awarded the Translation Prizes in the respective languages they have translated the literature into. Dr Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, President, Sahitya Akademi, Eminent Odia writer Pratibha Ray was the chief guest, Guest of Honor Dr. Alak Kr Buragohain, Vice Chancellor, Dibrugarh University and Dr K. Sreenivasarao were present to grace the occasion. After the dignitaries addressed the gathering, the translation prizes were presented to the respective winners. The twenty four awardees were felicitated by a plaque, gamocha (a piece of cloth of utmost respect in the Assamese culture) and a prize of Rs.50, 000. Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar relates to books first published during the five years immediately preceding the year of Award. During the initial ten years (i.e. from 2010 to 2019), the award may also be given to an author based on his/her total contribution to children literature. Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar relates to books published by an author of the age of 35 and below as on 1st January of the year of the award. The winners of both the awards will receive a casket containing an engraved copper plaque and a cheque of Rs 50,000. Sahitya Akademi Awards Sahitya Akademi award established in 1954, is a literary honour that is conferred annually by Sahitya Akademi, India’s National Academy of letters. Sahitya Akademi award is the second highest literary honour by the Government of India, after Jananpith award. Akademi is taking April 25, 2017, Vijayawada more responsibility to publish valuable literature in all languages. After that he presented Bhasha Samman to Sri Nagalla Guruprasadarao, Prof. T.R Damodaran and Smt. T.S Saroja Sundararajan. Later the Awardees responded. Sri Nagalla Guruprasadarao expressed his gratitude towards the Akademi for the presentation of the Bhasha Samman. He said that among the old poets Mahakavai Tikkana is his favourite. In his writings one can see the panoramic picture of Telugu Language both in usage and expression. He expressed his thanks to Sivalenka Sambhu Prasad and Narla Venkateswararao for their encouragement. Prof. Damodaran briefed the gathering about the Sourashtra dialect, how it migrated from Gujarat to Tamil Nadu and how the Recipients of Bhasha Samman with the President and Secretary of Sahitya Akademi cultural of the dialect has survived thousands of years. He expressed his gratitude to Sahitya Akademi for Sahitya Akademi organised the presentation of Bhasha honouring his mother tongue, Sourashtra.
