The cover art represents the songs topic of everything being wrong except for one thing right. QUOTE POSTER Poster design created to be put up within classrooms every month to show important holidays. The calendar like nature allows for the posters to be used practically as a calendar in addition to the educational possibilities. The holiday call-out gives more information in the form of a relevant quote. LOGO DESIGNS These logos include both redesigns of company identities that already exist as well as those of companies created from fiction. Some have counterparts presented in full color based on their respective designs, however these are simply shown in black and white to emphasize the concept and design structure. • Excerpts from the ONE Thing: the Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results by Gary Keller with Jay Papasan
Excerpts from The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results By Gary Keller with Jay Papasan INTRODUCTION 1 – Going Small “What’s the ONE Thing you can do such that by doing it everything else would be easier or unnecessary?” • When you want the absolute best chance to succeed at anything you want, your approach should always be the same. Go small. • “Going small” is ignoring all the things you could do and doing what you should do. • It’s recognizing that not all things matter equally and finding the things that matter most. • It’s realizing that extraordinary results are directly determined by how narrow you can make your focus. 2 – The Domino Effect “If you chase two rabbits you will not catch either one.” Russian Proverb • Highly successful people know they must line up their priorities. They find the lead domino and whack away at it until it falls. • Extraordinary success is sequential, not simultaneous. Success builds on success. • The key to success is built over time. It is built sequentially. It’s one thing at a time. PART 1 – THE LIES – They Mislead and Derail Us 3 – The Trouble with “Truthiness” “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.” Mark Twain • Buying into The One Thing sometimes becomes difficult because we’ve unfortunately bought into too many other – and more often than not those “other things” muddle our thinking, misguide our actions, and sidetrack our success. Life is too short to chase unicorns.

  • Midyear Report Canada 2020
NIELSEN MUSIC / MRC DATA MIDYEAR REPORT CANADA 2020 1 Introduction HAT A DIFFERENCE A FEW MONTHS MAKE. IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT IT WASN’T even six months ago that Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed for a tightly packed crowd of more than 60,000 people in Miami at the Super Bowl, while Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas picked up five Grammys at what turned out to be 2020’s last major music business gathering since COVID-19 halted live events. WBy Friday, March 13, the NBA and NHL had suspended play, the NCAA had canceled its spring tournaments, and theaters and live music venues had closed. As “safer at home” orders spread throughout the country, our homes became our offices, our schools, our daycares and our social hubs. Quickly and dramatically, life had changed. Our routines were disrupted, and we struggled to find balance. Still, the music industry was experiencing a strong start to the year. Audio streaming was growing through early March, up 20.9% over the same period in 2019. Total music consumption was up 10.8% in the first 10 weeks of the year. As working from home became a reality for many, some of the key music listening hours, such as during commutes, were disrupted. But one thing that has remained consistent as the pandemic has unfolded is entertainment’s place in helping consumers escape, relax and feel energized. In fact, in our recent consumer research studies, 73% of people said they would go crazy without entertainment during this time. Then, just as many communities began to slowly reopen, the country was shaken by the senseless May 25 killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.
