A Guide to Switchblades, Dirks and Daggers Second Edition December, 2015 How to tell if a knife is “illegal.” An analysis of current California knife laws. By: This article is available online at: http://bit.ly/knifeguide I. Introduction California has a variety of criminal laws designed to restrict the possession of knives. This guide has two goals: • Explain the current California knife laws using plain language. • Help individuals identify whether a knife is or is not “illegal.” This information is presented as a brief synopsis of the law and not as legal advice. Use of the guide does not create a lawyer/client relationship. Laws are interpreted differently by enforcement officers, prosecuting attorneys, and judges. Dmitry Stadlin suggests that you consult legal counsel for guidance. Page 1 A Guide to Switchblades, Dirks and Daggers II. Table of Contents I. Men så passerade e Some say that everyone is becoming more conservative with age. I don't know if that is necessarily true but the final result will, in any tid och sa... case, be dependent on the starting point. The same applies to Jens Ansø's design language. Recently, he has presented a series of kitchen knives that look extremely sympathetic and also released custom knives like Monte Carlo and Casino. Well, there seems to be a theme there. Common to all of these knives are a restrained design language and elegance. Very elegant knives as said but they are far from as bold as say models like Amok or Crash from his early years. That goes for the collaborations as well. In the beginning, knives such as Spyderco Zulu, Böker 67 and Albatross were representative of that segment. Nowadays, the models that are released are somewhat less challenging but also more practical I would argue. This is a good example of that. The model is called Ziggy and comes from Fox Knives. Then the Starmate came offering the same technology in a more compact solution but... it was not as fast an easy to get into action as the Military. Sal Glesser, CEO of Spyderco and designer of the C36 has been studying the possibiliy to reduce the size of that large folder. But he wanted to keep "the cockpit" of the Millie even if the lenght of the blade was shrunk from 1/3. As an inventor, Sal Glesser wanted to go beyond liner lock technology with his new compression lock he developped for the Gunting (a Martial Blade Craft folder, a very strong lock then!) So here it is: a smaller Military with a better lock ! After some times, it's easy to get absolutly addicted to the ParaMilitary.
