09h15 : Meeting with your guide. Departure for Sorèze.

10h/12h : Visit of the Royal School-Abbay of Sorèze You will wonder at the prestigious past of the “Abbaye-école”. On the way of St James of Compostela (Path of Arles), this former Abbey became a Royal Military School by the King of Louis XVI and welcomed illustrious names. The visit of the whole architectural ensemble listed as historical monument is magic: the” Cour des Rouges”, the cloister, the “Salle des Bustes” (exhibited busts), the park… Travel back into the past, you might feel you don’t want to go home!

Guided tour of dom robert Museum. This museum will enable visitors to understand the process of the creation of a tapestry from the artist’s way of looking at these inspiring landscapes to the drawings which result from this, up to the finished piece, via the work of the weavers of Aubusson.

13h00 : Back to for lunch at the restaurant , located in the historical center , in a completely revamped setting, enjoy French cuisine made entirely using local seasonal produce.

The History of the Gaillac wines - In brief, the story begins during the Neolithic era, when vines grew wild on the banks of the Tarn. The Emperors of Rome drank Gaillac - clearly documented by the poet Ausone. The potteries of produced amphoras in which the wine, with the addition of a few herbs, seemed to travel well. In 972, the monks of Candeil founded their monastery at St Michel and produced the first sparkling wines, long before Dom Perignon in Champagne (as the locals never cease to remind you).

Guided visit of the former Saint Michel Abbey and of the heart of the town

Starting in the Gaillac vineyards to meet a winemaker and his estate. Tour of the estate, cellars and tasting different wines produced at the estate.
