TEAM NOTES (CONT.) MOORE EARNS B1G WEEKLY HONOR Redshirt junior Kollin Moore took out a pair of top-12 opponents in the same weekend (Feb. 15-17) and was awarded for his superb efforts when the named him co-B1G Wrestler of the Week. Moore opened the weekend with a 12-5 decision on the road over Purdue’s Christian Brunner, ranked ninth nationally. He then came back two days later in the 2018-19 home finale and defeated No. 11 Eric Schultz (Nebraska) in dramatic fashion. The bout spilled over into sudden victory, where Moore hit a takedown less than 10 seconds into the extra period for a 7-5 win.

HEINSELMAN PEELS REDSHIRT True freshman Malik Heinselman was called upon to fill Ohio State’s 125-pound slot for the conference dual at Indiana on Jan. 11, putting an end to his redshirt season and slotting him in as a potential Buckeye starter. The Colorado native had accumulated a 13-3 record in unattached action before stepping into the varsity realm. He made an immediate statement, defeating three-time NCAA Qualifer Elijah Oliver in Bloomington. Prior, Heinselman won individual titles at the Lindenwood Open, Michigan State Open and placed third in the Ohio Intercollegiate Open.
