This group believes that this age group should be considered not adults by the prison system so they would not have a record upon release. However, at the same time, U.S. Rep. Many of them weren’t altar boys as kids. All that term means is giving something for something else. Not a crime. When bribery falters what will they come up with? This whole thing is a sham and Trump will get re-elected because the Democrats continue to be The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight without actor Robert Mitchum at the helm. What’s Up with the Democrats What is their end game? They all know the U.S. Sen- ate will not convict President Trump after the House impeaches him. The President will not be removed from office. So what is with all this drama from the likes of U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff ? It began the moment Trump was declared the winner of the 2016 election. Liberal and progressive Democrats are too far gone to step back now. What are they going to do when nothing happens to Trump? Why they are doing this seems clear to me. They want to hurt his credibility so a Democrat could beat him in 2020. Trouble is, most voters are seeing through this partisan sham of theirs. Prediction: President Trump wins a second term and the haters continue their hatred another four years because they can’t do anything else. Are We Living In George Orwell’s 1984 Today? • SPIRIT THROUGH TIME a History of the Spirituality of the Society of Jesus José García De Castro Valdés SJ Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid (Spain)
SPIRIT THROUGH TIME A History of the Spirituality of the Society of Jesus José García de Castro Valdés SJ Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid (Spain) When the Society of Jesus was founded by Pope Paul III1, a new trend in spirituality arose inside the Catholic Church. Even though the followers and the first companions of Ignatius of Loyola were never known or never called “Ignatians”2, this new spirituality is nowadays recognized as “Ignatian Spirituality”, that is, a new path, a new method to search for God proposed by Ignatius and his first Companions3 and mainly fixed in the text of the Spiritual Exercises and the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus. In order to understand the origins and development of this spirituality, and how this movement of the Holy Spirit has reached us, we will try to follow the historical development of the Society of Jesus. It is a long period of 475 years full of life, including a wide variety of experiences all around the world and in many different fields of human culture. The more we approach the history of the Society of Jesus, the more we realize how wide and deep the contribution of the Jesuits was to build the history and culture of Western tradition. Because of the new features of this new congregation founded by Ignatius and his companions, the Jesuits could move around the world and were allowed to preach the Gospel through many different means, which they called “ministries”4. They did not adopt a single specific work (healing, education, preaching…) as their charismatic mission.

  • The Catholic Church in the Czech Republic
The Catholic Church in the Czech Republic Dear Readers, For many people, the Catholic Church is an overly complex organ- ism. We hope that this slim publication will help readers to form an image of the Church’s organizational structure and the diversi- ty of the community which in two thousand years has grown out of the cluster of Jesus’s disciples. For more than eleven centuries, the Church has been a part of our society. Today, it is a great tree with deep roots, bearing highly diverse fruits in many areas. Pictures, numbers and names, however, fail to capture its life or in- ner mystery. The Church calls itself the mysterious body of Christ, whose soul is the Holy Spirit. It believes that Jesus himself is mys- teriously present amongst those who have an attitude of love, that he himself shapes the lives of people who, in their attitudes and deeds, accept his word and that the Kingdom of God itself grows in the world through people who put Christ in the primary position in their lives. At the same time, all its members are aware of their weakness, wretchedness and sinfulness, but their hope is in the mercy of God. Joy from God is then the main source of testi- mony and service to society and to individuals. My wish for all readers is that in this publication they find the infor- mation they are looking for, and that they themselves experience something of the mystery of the Divine presence in living contact with people of faith or with entire communities in families, par- ishes, religious orders and movements, church schools or chari- ties.
