Brannen, special to icenetwork Although both are coming off injuries, Polina Edmunds and Nathan Chen treated fans to memorable performances at 'An Evening with Champions.' Sarah S. Brannen "An Evening with Champions," the annual Jimmy Fund benefit run entirely by Harvard University students, made an early appearance this year on Sept. 9 and 10 at Harvard's Bright Arena. Nathan Chen, Polina Edmunds and Kimmie Meissner starred, along with twotime Olympic champions Oleg and Ludmila Protopopov and a host of skaters who are enrolled at Harvard. All proceeds from the show, which has raised more than $2.8 million over the past 46 years, benefit cancer care and research at the DanaFarber Cancer Institute. On Saturday afternoon, families of young cancer patients and survivors, as well as siblings of the patients, were invited to the arena to skate. U.S. FIGURE SKATING ATHLETE SELECTION PROCEDURES 2022 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES AUGUST 18, 2020 AMENDED JULY 20, 2021 1. SELECTION SYSTEM 1.1. Provide the minimum eligibility requirements for an athlete to be considered for selection to the Team: 1.1.1. Nationality/Passport requirements: Athlete must be a national of the United States at the time of nomination. Athlete must hold a valid U.S. passport that will not expire for six months after the conclusion of the Games. 1.1.2. Minimum International Olympic Committee (IOC) standards for participation: Any competitor in the Olympic Games must be a national of the country of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) which is entering such competitor. For additional information regarding an athlete who is a national of two or more countries, has changed his or her nationality or acquired a new nationality, refer to the Olympic Charter (Rule 41). 1.1.3. Minimum International Skating Union (ISU) standards for participation: The complete ISU Qualification System for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games is found at www.isu.org/figure-skating/events/olympic-winter-games/fsk- beijing-2022.
