Zenith Joins Patrick Mouratoglou As the Official Timekeeper of Uts Season 2
ZENITH JOINS PATRICK MOURATOGLOU AS THE OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER OF UTS SEASON 2 May 24 marked the start of the second season of UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown), a new tennis league created by Zenith Friend of the Brand Patrick Mouratoglou. A supporter and partner since its first edition in 2020, Zenith is proud to take on the role of “Official Timekeeper” for this innovative, intense and spectacular showdown of rising tennis stars. In a bid to bring tennis to a younger and wider audience, UTS breaks away from the conventional format and rules of tennis tournaments with a lighter code of conduct and emphasis on entertainment. Here, players can bring out their personalities on the court like never before. Taking place at the Mouratoglou Academy in the French Rivera, on clay courts, UTS4 – the first event of the second season – saw ATP-ranked players Diego Schwartzman, Grigor Dimitrov, Cristian Garin, Alexander Bublik, Daniil Medvedev, Fabio Fognini, Taylor Fritz and Corentin Moutet battle it out on the court in a fun and dynamic series of matches over two days. On Tuesday May 26th, Corentin Moutet “The Tornado” lifted the fourth UTS lightning bolt trophy, defeating Taylor Fritz “The Hotshot” 3-1 in the final. The lowest-ranked player at UTS4, the Frenchman showed that mastering the format is key at UTS. Undefeated, Moutet breezed past Fritz, Fognini, Garin, and World No. 2 Medvedev to win his first UTS title. “The Tornado” was the most experienced player of the field, competing in the league for the third time. After falling short in the UTS2 semifinal, Moutet had revenge on his mind at UTS4. -

Defending Champion Mayer Faces Basilashvili in Hamburg Final
GERMAN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018: DAY 7 MEDIA NOTES Sunday, 29 July 2018 Tennisstadion am Rothenbaum | Hamburg, Germany | 23-29 July 2018 Draw: S-32, D-16 | Prize Money: €1,619,935 | Surface: Clay ATP World Tour Info Tournament Info ATP PR & Marketing ATPWorldTour.com German-Open-Hamburg.de Martin Dagahs: [email protected] Twitter: @ATPWorldTour @Am_Rothenbaum Press Officer: [email protected] Facebook: @ATPWorldTour @TennisAmRothenbaum TV & Radio: TennisTV.com DEFENDING CHAMPION MAYER FACES BASILASHVILI IN HAMBURG FINAL • Two-time champion Leonardo Mayer of Argentina will go for his third title at the German Tennis Championships – and second in a row – when he meets Georgian qualifier Nikoloz Basilashvili in the Hamburg final on Sunday. It will be the first professional meeting between the two players. • Mayer triumphed at Hamburg in 2014 for his first career title, clinching a final-set tiebreak in the championship match against then-No. 7 David Ferrer. He won his second of two career titles in the same city three years later, when he entered the 2017 main draw as a 138th-ranked lucky loser and hoisted the trophy again. Mayer re-discovered the magic this year, improving his win-loss record at Hamburg to 15-2 after saving a match point against qualifier Jozef Kovalik in the semi-finals. • Like Mayer, Basilashvili came into Hamburg with a losing record, having suffered a seven-match Tour-level losing streak earlier this season, which included two retirements due to a right shoulder injury. But after making it through the Hamburg qualifying, Basilashvili moved past seeded players Philipp Kohlschreiber and Pablo Carreno Busta in the earlier rounds, and then beat Nicolas Jarry in the semi-finals to reach his third career final and keep his hopes alive for a first singles title. -
