Where on earth has the summer gone? I am pleased to say the Club has been busy all through August with visiting teams, the WOEC and mem- bers sailing during the week. With good weather at the weekends it has been great to see people enjoying the garden and using the bar on Sunday afternoons. The wind was not very kind for the Ladies Race which was a challenge for those that took part and all those that finished should be congratulated. The Finn Nationals were a great success and thanks must go to all those that worked so hard to make the Finn sailors welcome. I am particularly pleased it was such a good event as it was Dave Dunn’s last one as Chairman of the Championship Committee as he has decided that having done the job for over 10 years it was time to step down. I am sure you will all support me in giving a huge thanks to Dave who has worked so hard for all the local Clubs and masterminded some superb events. -
