A Matter of Inches My Last Fight
INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS GROUP A Matter of Inches How I Survived in the Crease and Beyond Clint Malarchuk, Dan Robson Summary No job in the world of sports is as intimidating, exhilarating, and stressridden as that of a hockey goaltender. Dobber's 2010-11 Fantasy Guide
DOBBER’S 2010-11 FANTASY GUIDE DOBBERHOCKEY.COM – HOME OF THE TOP 300 FANTASY PLAYERS I think we’re at the point in the fantasy hockey universe where DobberHockey.com is either known in a fantasy league, or the GM’s are sleeping. Besides my column in The Hockey News’ Ultimate Pool Guide, and my contributions to this year’s Score Forecaster (fifth year doing each), I put an ad in McKeen’s. That covers the big three hockey pool magazines and you should have at least one of them as part of your draft prep. The other thing you need, of course, is this Guide right here. It is not only updated throughout the summer, but I also make sure that the features/tidbits found in here are unique. I know what’s in the print mags and I have always tried to set this Guide apart from them. Once again, this is an automatic download – just pick it up in your downloads section. Look for one or two updates in August, then one or two updates between September 1st and 14th. After that, when training camp is in full swing, I will be updating every two or three days right into October. Make sure you download the latest prior to heading into your draft (and don’t ask me on one day if I’ll be updating the next day – I get so many of those that I am unable to answer them all, just download as late as you can). Any updates beyond this original release will be in bold blue. -

Daily Press Clips March 16, 2015
Buffalo Sabres Daily Press Clips March 16, 2015 Skapski, Yandle help lift Rangers past Sabres 2-0 By Nick Mendola Associated Press March 14, 2015 BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Mackenzie Skapski keeps checking off career milestones against the Buffalo Sabres. The New York Rangers' rookie goaltender made 20 saves to pick up his first NHL shutout in a 2-0 win over Buffalo, three weeks after beating the Sabres to pick up his first NHL win. "I didn't even digest the win yet, let alone the shutout," Skapski said. The Rangers made him sweat it out despite their last-place opponent. Keith Yandle's third-period goal broke a scoreless tie, and Martin St. Louis added an empty net goal to finish off the Rangers' fourth-straight win. "He gave us a chance to win the hockey game," defenseman Marc Staal said. "It's good for him. It's a good milestone for a goalie. It's great he can get it early." The Rangers have the best record in the league after Saturday's win, and are 13-1-2 since Feb. 8. "We have a very underrated offensive defensive team," Skapski said. "That's what makes us the best team in the NHL right now." After killing off a penalty, the Rangers broke the scoreless deadlock when Yandle's high wrist shot from the point went through a maze of players to beat a screened Anders Lindback. "I thought for a second that I didn't know if it got tipped, so maybe I shouldn't celebrate," Yandle said. -
Ten #Nhlstats About the Carolina Hurricanes, Who
Ten #NHLStats about the Carolina Hurricanes, who are headed to the postseason for the third consecutive season and 16th time in franchise history (8x as Carolina, 8x as Hartford). 1. The Hurricanes have reached the playoffs in three consecutive seasons for the first time since moving to Raleigh in 1997-98 and second time in franchise history – the Whalers made seven straight appearances from 1986 to 1992. 2. Captain Jordan Staal leads all current Hurricanes players in career playoff goals (27), assists (19), points (46) and games played (96) and is one of three members of the roster with a Stanley Cup (2009 PIT). He can join his brother, Marc Staal (107 GP), as the second member of his family to skate in 100 career playoff games; only eight sets of brothers in League history have accomplished the feat. Their other brother, Eric Staal (now with the Canadiens), is the Hurricanes/Whalers franchise leader in career playoff goals (19), and points (43). 3. Cedric Paquette (2020 TBL) and Teuvo Teravainen (2015 CHI) are the other Hurricanes to win the Stanley Cup. Paquette will aim to become the second player in as many seasons, fourth in the NHL’s expansion era (since 1967-68) and ninth in League history to win a championship in consecutive seasons with different teams; he would be the second to do so by leaving the Lightning to join the Hurricanes (Cory Stillman). 4. Sebastian Aho has had 12 points in each of his first two trips to the postseason, pacing the club in scoring in both 2019 and 2020 (totaling 8-16—24 in 23 GP). -
