SITREP NO.66/2015 1700 hours No.32-20/2015-NDM-I Ministry of Home Affairs (Disaster Management Division) Dated, the 06thAugust, 2015 Subject: SOUTHWEST MONSOON-2015: DAILY MONSOON/FLOOD SITUATION REPORT 1. CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION (DAILY WATER LEVELS AND FORECASTS FOR LEVEL FORECAST SITES) According to the Central Water Commission (CWC) report dated 6th August, 2015, there is no High/Moderate situation site in the country. 2. IMD WARNING 06 August (Day 1): ♦Heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over north Bihar, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Coastal Karnataka. 07 August (Day 2): ♦Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Coastal Karnataka. 08 August (Day 3): ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over Uttarakhand. Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Coastal Karnataka. 09 August (Day 4): ♦Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Coastal Karnataka. 10 August (Day 5): ♦ Heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. 3. WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS(10/8/15 to 12/8/15) ♦ Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places over western Himalayan region & adjoining plains, northeast, east & central India and along west coast. ♦ Rain/thundershowers would occur at a few places over peninsular India. 4. NDRFOPERATIONAL DEPLOYMENT (47 TEAMS AND 1833 PERSONNEL) In (Distt:-Lakhimpur) Assam, 01 team consisting of 41 personnel of Ist Bn NDRF has been deployed since 08.06.2015 for onset of monsoon season. In (Barpeta) Assam, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 1st Bn, NDRF has been deployed since 09.06.2015 for onset of monsoon season. In (Sub-Div Sadla Distt.- Tinsukia) Assam, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 1st Bn, NDRF has been deployed since 01.07.2015 in connection with preposition for the monsoon season. In (Village Joumol,Dist. Chandel) Manipur, 02 team consisting of 63 personnel of Ist Bn NDRF have been deployed in c/w a landslide incident at Village Joumol, Dist. Chandel. In (Deoghar) Jharkhand, 01 team consisting of 39 personnel of 2nd Bn NDRF has been deployed in c/w Shravani Mela-2015/emergency response WEF. 20/7/2015. 1 In (Darjeeling) West Bengal, 01 team consisting of 39 personnel of 2nd Bn NDRF have been deployed in c/w prepositioning deployment wef. 25/7/2015. In Distt-Howrah & Dist:- Bardhaman, West Bengal, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 2nd Bn NDRF has been deployed in c/w Cyclone KOMEN. In (Panskura) Dist- East Medinipur, West Bengal, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 2nd Bn, NDRF have been deployed in c/w Cyclone KOMEN. In (Sandesh Khali) Dist:- North 24 Parganas, West Benga1, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 2nd Bn NDRF, West Bengal has been deployed in c/w Cyclone KOMEN. In Distt. Hooghly, West Benga1, 01 teams consisting of 42 personnel of 2nd Bn NDRF, West Bengal have been deployed in c/w flood like situation there. 01 person rescued by NDRF team. In (Behrampur) Dist. -Murshidabad, West Bengal, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 2nd Bn. NDRF has been deployed in c/w flood rescueops . In (Ghatal) Dist. - West Medinipur, West Bengal, 01 team consisting of 43 personnel of 2nd Bn. NDRF has been deployed in c/w flood resuce ops. In (Dist. - Birbhum & Bardhaman ) West Bengal, 02 teams consisting of 91 personnel of 3rd Bn. NDRF have been deployed in c/w flood rescue.63 persons evacuated to safer place. In (Dist. - Hooghly &Birbhum) West Bengal, 02 teams consisting of 88 personnel of 3rd Bn. NDRF have been deployed in c/w flood rescue. In (Sirohi,Udaipur&Barmer) Rajasthan, 03 teams consisting of 121 personnel of 4th Bn. NDRF have been deployed in c/w flood rescue operation wef. 30.07.2015. In (Dist.- Howrah & Hooghly ) West Bengal, 03 teams consisting of 121 personnel of 4th Bn NDRF have been deployed in c/w flood rescue operation. On 5/8/15, team evacuated 07 persons to safer place and distributed relief material. In (Bhopal) MP, 01 team consisting of 40 personnel of 6th Bn, NDRF has been deployed for emergency response during Monsoon season wef. 29/6/2015. In (Jalore) Rajasthan,02 teams consisting of 70 personnel of 6th Bn. NDRF have been deployed in c/w flood like situation due to heavy rainfall. In (Banaskantha) Gujarat, 04 teams consisting of 140 personnel of 6th Bn NDRF have been deployed for flood rescue & relief. In ( Patan) Gujarat), 01 team consisting of 35 personnel of 6th Bn NDRF has been deployed for flood rescue. In (Pahalgam/Baltal/Panchtarni/Sheshnag) J & K, 04 teams consisting of 176 personnel of 7th Bn, NDRF have been deployed in connection with Amarnathji Yatra wef. 16/6/2015. In (Kangra) HP, 01 team consisting 40 personnel of 7th Bn NDRF for emergency response during monsoon season. In (Shimla/Kullu) HP, 01 team consisting 40 personnel of 7th Bn NDRF for emergency response during Monsoon Season wef. 24.07.2015. In (Jaipur/6 Bn location) Rajasthan, 02 teams consisting of 83 personnel of 8th Bn NDRF have been deployed in flood affected areas. In (6 Bn location) Gujarat, 01 team consisting of 11 personnel of 8th Bn NDRF has been deployed in rescue. In (Bachlota, Distt. Hapur), Uttar Pradesh, 01 team consisting of 09 personnel of 8th Bn NDRF in c/w drowing of a person in Ganganahar. In (Gopalganj) Bihar, 01 team consisting of 42 personnel of 9th Bn NDRF has been deployed in c/w pre monsoon deployment. In (Supaul) Bihar, 01 team consisting 43 personnel of 9th Bn NDRF has been deployed for emergency response during monsoon season. In (Darbhanga) Bihar, 01 team consisting 42 personnel of 9th Bn NDRF has been deployed for emergency response during monsoon season. In (Muzaffarpur) Bihar, 01 team consisting 42 personnel of 9th Bn NDRF has been deployed for emergency response during monsoon season. In (Gorakhpur) Uttar Pradesh, 01 team consisting of 40 personnel of 9th BN NDRF has been deployed in c/w monsoon deployment. 2 In (Distt: - Bahraich), Uttar Pradesh, 01 team consisting of 40 personnel of 9th Bn, NDRF has been deployed in c/w monsoon deployment. 5. LOGISTIC SUPPORT PROVIDED BY THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCEON 6th AUGUST, 2015 Nil 6. NDRF Teams:- • 05 Teams of NDRF are deployed in Gujarat – 4 in Banaskantha and 01 in Patan. NDRF has pressed 16 Boats and rescued 1430 people in Gujarat till date, apart from clearing road blocks. NDRF has recovered 04 dead bodies, 200 gram Gold, 05 Kgs Silver & 02 Lakh cash. Distributed 06 Qtl relief material and 1,27,898 Food &water packets and distributed medicines to 445 persons • Total 05 NDRF teams consisting of 175 persons with 16 boats are deployed in Gujarat (Banaskantha- 04, Patan-01) RAJASTHAN In this monsoon season so far 38 deaths have been reported in the state. (viii) Jalore 08 - - - (ix) Udaypur 04 - - - TOTAL 35 NOTE – (i) Rajasthan has experienced excessive rainfall in most of its districts. Some of the districts are facing flood situation due to extremely heavy rainfall. The situation is grim particularly in districts of Jalore, Jhalawar, Baran, Sirohi, Barmer and Dungarpur. (ii) Apart from SDRF, Police, RAC etc., at present 08 teams of NDRF are deployed for rescue and relief operations. (iii) 05 dead bodies recovered by NDRF team. (iv) So far more than 622 peoples have been rescued from various districts in Rajasthan. Distributed 17 Qtl relief materials, 20 tarpoline, 2435 water & food packets and distributed medicines to 432 persons.
