Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, , Queer, Questioning, and Resource Guide (Re-issue DB 14-144)

The "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex Resource Guide: Working Together to Protect Our Community" SFPD 569 (05/16), serves as a resource for every officer and member of the LGBTQQI community. Tips are provided for victims of crimes as well as rights and responsibilities while interacting with law enforcement. Various resources relating to shelter, counseling, youth services, senior services, medical, family connections and suicide prevention programs are given.

Our focus is to strengthen the relationship between SFPD and the LGBTQQI community. Issues such as lawful detentions, sanctuary city status, and how to be proactive regarding safety are addressed.

This guide is also being distributed to the organizations listed in the pamphlet and will be translated into Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese, and Tagalog.

The guide is also available on the SFPD Intranet Bulletin Board tab, under "Handouts and Resources."
