Have you ever wanted to know what definitive steps you should take to make your dreams of working in the entertainment industry come true? If so, you don’t want to miss this masterclass.

Presenter: Keyera Williams- Producer at Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment Keyera Williams is a writer, producer, and multi-creative born in Memphis, TN. She studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of Arkansas- graduating in 2016. Since then, she has taken the industry by storm and has brought in over one billion views as a producer / director of original content. In 2014, Keyera moved to Los Angeles for an internship at BET working for Hampton alumni, Robi Reed. Six months later, she became a Writer’s Assistant for BET’s The Xperiment, a late night variety show. Since then, the now 25- year-old has served as a Producer, Director and Talent for companies such as BuzzFeed, Genius (formerly Rap Genius), and now works for Will Smith and at Westbrook Inc, where she serves as Producer for the Fresh Prince himself. She recently wrote, produced, and directed her short film “Kinfolk,” that will enter the festival circuit in 2020.

1:30p.m. to 3:30p.m. FEATURE FILM SCREENING- Through A Lens Darkly:Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People ( 93 min) Dir. Thomas Allen Harris A film that explores how African American communities have used the camera as a tool for social change from the invention of photography to the present. This epic tale poetically moves between the present and the past, through contemporary photographers and artists whose images and stories seek to reconcile legacies of pride and shame while giving voice to images long suppressed, forgotten, and hidden from sight.

Juney Smith Documentary/Biography The true story of some of the life and times fo actor Danny Glover and his lifetime friend, actor Ben Guillory. From growing up in San Francisco to success in Hollywood, Danny and Ben take us on their life journey, that led to their acting journey, their shared admiration for Paul Robeson and the creation of the Robey Theatre Company in Los Angeles, California.

11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. MASTERCLASS- Tupac, Filmmaking, Emotional Literacy, Music & Me: Living Legend, Leila Steinberg,Explores the Transformative Power of Visual Images and the Creative Arts

Presenter: Leila Steinberg Through the work developed with Tupac over two decades ago, Leila fuses creative expression, social medicine, and behavioral science. She holds over three decades of artistry, producing, community organizing, management, projects, and many titles to her credit. In addition to being the mother of four and a grandmother, she now dedicates herself full time to her non-profit organization AIM. Leila’s work has drawn from street culture as well as a transcendental understanding of art’s power to heal and improve emotional states and behavior. With the release of her heart education (emotional literacy) curriculum Leila will expand her speaking and training nationally and internationally to give people tools to heal from trauma, violence, pain and embrace their full potential as human beings and healthy members of society. Some of Leila’s groundbreaking work with Tupac Shakur was highlighted in the film, All Eyes on Me, a biopic about the artist. Our closing night film will be 1 Angry Black Man, an award-winning drama written and directed by Menelek Lumumba. It tells the story of Mike Anderson, a senior at the quintessential New- England liberal arts school, Frost College. And Mike is eight weeks away from graduation. On this particular day he has his African-American Literature class with his favorite professor. But today, Mike is feeling sadness. He's feeling isolated. He's feeling Angry.
