The Sheriff, Mike Brown, is requesting that the Board of Supervisors authorize a Supplemental Appropriation for the funds not appropriated in the amount of $4,180.00 for FY 2017-2018. The intent of the program is to improve collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. The Sheriff’s office wishes to use grant funds of $4,691.70 to hold three community events to offer services such as document shredding, drug take-back, and child safety events. The grant requires a 10% local match of $521.30 which is included in the Sheriff’s proposed budget for FY 2017-2018. The grant period is from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018.
