The earlier cover with traces of ageing and horiz. folds, the second one with missing back-flap, otherwise a fine pair. 326 1874 Third Issue (2nd ”Bulâq” Printing) 2pi yellow along with 1pi. red 110,00 on 1876 REGISTERED cover from Mansura to Cairo, both tied by superb strikes of ”POSTE EGIZIANE MANSURA/2 DIC 76/T I” cds, boxed ”RACCOMANDATE” alongside, arrival cds on the reverse. Envelope with minor imperfections on back but still fresh, fine and attractive. 327 1874 Third Printing (2nd ”Bulâq” Issue) 2½pi. violet, Perf 12½ x 13¼, 110,00 HORIZONTAL TÊTE-BÊCHE PAIR, mounted mint with large part orig. gum, original pair although the perforations joining are mostly severed, fine. Signed G. Bühler, and with B.P.A. certificate. 328 1874 Third Issue (2nd ”Bulâq” Printing) 2½pi. violet, Perf 12½, used 170,00 on small cover from KAGUG to Ferrara, Italy, down the Nile via Edfu to Alexandria, to the Italian P.O. Alexandria and via Brindisi and Bologna to Ferrara, cancelled by ”V.R. POSTE EGIZIANE KAGUG/18 OTT 1875” cds, small boxed ”PD” (paid all) alongside, respective transit and arrival datestamps on the reverse. Back-flap of cover incomplete otherwise fine. Stamps with few shortened perfs and lightly toned otherwise fine. A VERY RARE FRANKING of 12 Piaster = 8 times the basic foreign UPU letter rate of 1½pi. (= 1pi+20pa) per 10g. from July 1st, 1875 to April 1st, 1878. APS certificate (1997) 330 1876, overprint issue 5 and 10pa violet, group of 53 stamps in total 150,00 comprising inverted overprint (SG 42ea), corner copy, block of four etc. High cat. value (M) 331 1877 cover from Cairo to London via Brindisi, franked by 3rd issue 170,00 1pi. red and two 10pa. slate for complete 1½pi. foreign letter rate, tied by fine strikes of ”POSTE EGIZIANE CAIRO/23 GIU 77/III” cds, and with red ”LONDON-W/B 7/PAID/2 JY 77” arrival cds in red. Cover's back-flap missing and minor imperfections but still an attractive and fresh franking and superb strikes of datestamps. 332 1877, superb GB 2½ d, Mi.no. 47 in fresh color on correctly franked 220,00 cover with clear strike ”B 02” and besides SUEZ AP 21 77 with scarce destination Jersey, Channel Islands, arrival mark and 1878 mark of the board of trade, fine condition. #SPRACHE#1877, mit hervorragend farbfrischer GB Mi. 47 portorichtig frankierter Brief mit klarem ”B 02” neben SUEZ AP 21 77 in seltener Destination nach Jersey/Kanalinseln, rs. DU TONKIN / PORT SAID” cds's. Card somewhat stained but a scarce cancellation. 341 1910. Picture post card to France bearing SG 63, 5m carmine tied 80,00 by 'Rural Service/Rahmani Kafr El Sheik Hassan' date stamp with boxed bilingual 'Rahmani' hand-stamp routed via Alexandria with 'Tanta-Aiexandria T.P.O. 'and Vichey arrival. Scarce item of Rural Post Mail. 342 1922 King Fouad 1st issue, eight essays by Harrison & Sons, with 220,00 five essays (5m.(3), 10m., 15m.) with similar portrait but different borders, one imperf, others perf on watermarked paper, plus three essays for 50m. in small design, two imperf, one perf, diff. colours, on unwatermarked paper, ungummed. 343 1923. Registered 'Advice of Receipt' postal stationery envelope 70,00 10m Iake upgraded with SG 102, 5m pink and SG 103, 10m lake tied by Kafr. EI Zaiyat/R date stamp with framed hand-struck 'R/ Kafr. EI Zaiyat with boxed 'AR' addressed to Alexandria with arrival on reverse. Superb item of Advice of Receipt registered postal stationery.
