Director of Coaching - Lee Billiard - Email

Lee holds a UEFA 'B' License and an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Lee comes to Natick Soccer Club with a wealth of experience at all levels of the game. An MPS employee for 10 years, Lee has worked with over 50 towns across the state implementing coach and player development programs. Lee currently holds coaching positions at MPS, Acton Boxoboro Regional High School and Northeastern University.

Arthur Antunes Coimbra; born 3 March 1953 in ), better known as Zico, is a former Brazilian footballer and coach. Often called the White Pele, he is commonly considered one of the most skilled dribblers and finishers ever and possibly the world's best player of the early 80's. He was also known as one of history's greatest free kick specialists, able to bend the ball with pace and accuracy as well as having an extremely powerful shot. The gifted was named by Pele as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004

Each Newsletter will feature a "How To" document. As a coach you have a responsibility to help players develop technically, tactically, physically and psychologically. These documents are designed to help players understand areas were they can improve. They allow players to continue their personal development away from coaching sessions and the game environment. All documents are easy to read and simple to execute.

Question 1.

"Through U8 I understand that it's developmentally appropriate for players to think only of themselves, the ball, and the goal. Thus the herding, lack of support, linear play, etc. At what point do we focus on the tactical side of the game to prevent the above? Are there different expectations for each age range that we should be focusing on more than others?

Good question and a great time for me to introduce you to our development methodology for each age group.
