For 2014, the HOA has collected $4,200 in nonresident sport participation fees compared to $4,225 in 2013. For 2014, the HOA has collected a total of $1,050 vending machine proceeds compared to $920 in 2013.

Amenity Monitoring: Advanced Protective Services is working full-time at 56 hours per week. Please remember to bring your Legacy Park ID with you when you are on common property. The guards monitor all the amenity areas, including playgrounds, the lake, etc. The Kennesaw Police continue to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings off duty, and they monitor Legacy Park’s property. Remember that neither the police nor the security company provides any security to privately owned property.

Playgrounds: Repairs have been made at Kentmere and new mulch has been ordered. Minor repairs have been made at the Highcroft and Lullwater playgrounds. Minor repairs and staining will be done at the Madison playground. All playgrounds are checked monthly by Recreation Station, who the HOA has worked with for over 10 years. They do a great job in keeping the area safe.

Projects: We are collecting bids for a new covered pavilion on the Town Green. New backboards and goals have been ordered for the basketball court. The installation of the sand volleyball court has been completed and we are excited about this new amenity in the community. All the white curbs around Legacy Park Circle have been painted as well as the guardrails on Legacy Park Boulevard. The lake fountain has been cleaned and maintenance completed.

Landscape: Wildflowers have been planted on the hill under the power lines in Kentmere and the area across the creek at the Winterthur Playground. Unfortunately, we have not had the results we were hoping for, and we will continue to work on these areas. Repairs to the Amphitheater sod have been made and a small retaining wall will be built at the bottom of the hill to help with drainage and erosion. We have been working on repairing the dead patches of grass around the circle along with plants that did not survive our harsh winter. Sod has been installed around the areas along the street around the Gramercy Playground where the city removed the trees.
