Venue: Albany, NZ Teams Competing: Women O50, Women O55, Men O60. Day 3 did not start well for the Aussies. Date: Sunday 28th June 2009 To be held at: Woodville Hockey Stadium

The carnival will commence at 8:45am and will continue through the day on both artificial and grass fields, finishing at approximately 3:30pm. Being the 25th Carnival of Women's Veterans hockey in South Australia, there will be a bit of a celebration although the format of the carnival will still be the same as in previous years – i.e. a ‘round robin’ competition in pools, and games of 25 minutes duration.

We will accept entries from whole teams, part teams and individuals. Players must turn 35 years of age by 31.12.09. However, when nominating a full team, 2 players between 33 and 35 years of age will be accepted. Nomination forms are available on the Hockey SA website. The carnival will also be the first trial day for State Veteran Women’s teams selection. Nomination forms for state selection will be on the Hockey SA website in due course. State Women’s Vets Nominations Now Open This year, the Australian Women’s Veteran’s Championship will be held in Hobart, Tasmania from 2­10 October 2009. Nominations for South Australia’s Women’s Vets teams are now open. The Vet’s Committee is taking nomina­ tions for the following teams: Over 35’s, Over 40’s, Over 45’s, Over 50’s, Over 55’s and Over 60’s.
