TOPCAT K1/K2/K3 CATAMARAN CUP 2019 TURAWA POLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS TOPCAT OPEN CATAMARAN OPEN - Polish southern catamaran cup 2019

1. PLACE AND DATE Turawa Lake, southern edge of Turawa Lake 18-19.05.2019 2. EVENT CONVENER Jacht Klub Opolski, Topcat Team Poland 3. RULES 3.1. This race will be governed by - the rules as defined in The Current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS, 2017-2020) and other rules - Sailing Organizations Rules of 04.2018 3.2. Other documents which apply: Rules of Advertisement Code by ISAF is not applied according to &5 of the Polish Amateurs Rules of Sailing Races 2013 3.3. International Topcat Association Rules and Procedures for Championships will apply 4. ADVERTISING AND RIGHTS OF PUBLICITY Boats are obligated to display advertising chosen and supplied by the Organizing Committee, if not, article 20.9.2 of the Racing Rules of Sailing will be applicable Entering the TSR all participants allow the Organizing Committee to use their images and likeness when recording films and making pictures during the TSR days and in any other commercial materials connected with the TSR in the future. 5. CLASSES Topcat K1/K2/K3/K4, Topcat OPEN,`Catamaran Open.

6. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 6.1 The race is open for all competitors who present the following documents at registration procedure: a/ payment evidence to be paid by cash at the Race Office or within the period specified in 6.2 When registered till May 5 2018 by www.raceoffice.org or e-mail the following fares will be applied: All TOPCATs: Pln 130 or € 30 one handed Pln 190 or € 45 double handed Catamarans Open Pln 110 one handed Pln 170 double handed In the case of later registration after May 5.2018 the following fares will be applied: All TOPCATs: Pln 150 or € 35 one handed Pln 210 or € 50 double handed Catamarans Open Pln 130 one handed Pln 190 double handed b/ insurance certificate – each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance, if not – the boat has no right to participate in the Regatta c/ license for individual adds d/ measuring certificate e/ all Topcats – payment evidence of ITCA fee 2019 /22 €/. The required ITCA fee of 22€ could be paid at the Race Office. If the crew fails to present the evidence of payment, the boat could participate in the Regatta but will not be classified.

6.2 Registration on site will be open for all competitors at the Race Office located at the Jacht Club Opole Turawa Lake On17.05.2019 18.00 -20.00 On18.05.2018 8.00 - 9.30 – final registration Payment of any remaining balances must be completed by the end of final registration.

May 19.05 (Sunday)  09.30 skippers meeting at the Race Office  10.00 – 14.00 competition races  13.00 warning signal for last race /see point 7.6/  15.00 award-giving ceremony

8. MEASURMENTS Each boat shall have a valid measurement certificate. Each competitor shall ensure that boat and equipment comply with the appropriate Class Rules. All boats shall be already measured and shall display the sail number declared on the measurement certificate. Any changes of crew and equipment shall be authorized by theProtest Committee. Random checks may be made any time during the championships.

9. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be available after the registration procedure at registration desk.

10. THE COURSES Races will be performed as per the sailing instruction

12. SCORING 12.1 The low point system of RRS appendix A apply - Final scoring for Topcat Open, K1,K2,K3 will be in accordance with ITCA rules - Final scoring for Catamaran Open will be in accordance with Texel formula 12.2 9 races are planned. 1 race is required to be completed to constitute a final valid series for TRS 12.3 When 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of its race scores 12.4 When 5 races have been completed the boat’s worst score will be excluded. 12.5 When 8 and more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of its race scores excluding its 2 worst scores. 12.6 Boat classes will be designated for each boat type of at least 3, subject to at least 3 boats participation at all races completed 12.7 Competitors who will not finished any of the races completed, will not be classified and will be disqualified. 12.8 If the warning signal will not be announced till 13.00 on Sunday 19.05, TRS will be finished with the number of races completed. 13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk and responsibility. See point 4 PRŻ Rules.The Organizing Authority does not accept liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the Regatta TSR. Any of activities taken or not taken by the Organizing Committee will not privilege any of the competitors and crew members of the regatta TRS to bear responsibility of any damage caused by him or his boat Sailors are required to take this into consideration when making a decision to race.

14. INSURANCE Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of EUR 25.000 per event or the equivalent. 15. AWARDS 1st , 2nd, 3rd places will be awarded. Other awards are being considered.

16. 18. OTHERS All guests accompanying competitors could participate in all events at the fee of pln 30 including entry on the free boat for guests at races /lunch, supper, grill included/. During the races a water taxi will be available for the registered guests. All competitors and guests are requested to wear on hand the identification strip delivering at registration process.
