A letter from Mayor, followed by a seven-page survey was mailed to a random sample of 5,000 households in the City of Fort Lauderdale on November 14. A typical mailing would have been 2,500, but a larger mailing was done to help the City obtain information to supplement the development of a 2035 Community Vision. Approximately seven days after the surveys were mailed, residents who received the survey were contacted by phone. Those who indicated that they had not returned the survey were given the option of completing it by phone or on the Internet. -
