Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick Is A Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is a lifelong resident of Bucks County, where he has been an active member of his community for decades. In 1995, Mike was appointed to the Bucks County Board of Commissioners where he served for ten years.. As a Bucks County Commissioner, he was a champion of responsible county social service programs, job creation and efficient government administration. As a Member of the 109th Congress, Rep. Fitzpatrick fought for stronger borders, lower taxes and smaller budget deficits. He returned to Congress in 2011 after practicing law in Bucks County focusing on representing small businesses and local governments. In the 114th Congress, his number one priority is job creation. Rep. Fitzpatrick is member of the House Committee on Financial Services, and he serves as the chair of the Task Force to Investigate Terrorism Financing. Mike and his wife Kathy have been married twenty-four years and have six children Robert Pittenger Robert Pittenger is serving his second term in the United States Congress, representing the citizens of North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District. After graduating from the University of Texas worked for 10 years as Assistant to the President of Campus Crusade for Christ, helping bring the work of the organization to over 170 countries. In 1985, Congressman Pittenger and his family moved to Charlotte, where he built a national real estate investment company from scratch. Congressman Pittenger brings a strong conservative voice to this role with House Leadership, serving as a Member of the Whip Team and on the Steering Committee of the influential Republican Study Committee. He is a Member of the House Committee of Financial Services and serves as Vice Chairman of the Task Force to Investigate Terrorism Financing. As Chairman of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, Congressman Pittenger has met with hundreds of world leaders and security experts to advocate increased global cooperation in the fight against ISIS. Congressman Pittenger and his wife, Suzanne, live in Charlotte and have four grown children and nine wonderful grandchildren. Keith Ellison Rep. Ellison has represented the Fifth Congressional District of Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives since taking office on January 4, 2007. The Fifth Congressional District is the most vibrant and ethnically diverse district in Minnesota with a rich history and traditions. The Fifth District includes the City of Minneapolis and the surrounding suburbs. Rep. Ellison's philosophy is one of "generosity and inclusiveness." His roots as a community activist and his message of inclusivity through democratic participation resonates throughout the Fifth District. His priorities in Congress are: promoting peace, prosperity for working families, environmental sustainability, and civil and human rights. They are reflections of the principles and values that we believe should guide our nation. The Republican Study Committee’s (RSC) Fiscal Year 2017 Blueprint for a Balanced Budget 2.0 firmly prioritizes and protects the liberty, opportunity, and security of the American people. President Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” Unfortunately, after seven years, the Obama administration is handing the next generation trillions of dollars of new debt, unconstitutional executive actions, and an underperforming economy. When President Obama took office in 2009, the gross federal debt stood at $10.6 trillion. Under his final budget submission to Congress, delivered this year, the federal debt would double by 2026, leaving an enormous $27.4 trillion national debt. It is unconscionable to leave this legacy to our children and grandchildren. This is not how a nation preserves freedom and prosperity. President Obama has also fostered a legacy of blatant disregard for the law. By implementing much of his liberal agenda through “pen and phone” executive fiats, he has caused more harm to our nation’s future than he seems to understand. The U.S. Constitution is clear about the role and limits of government. The President has stretched, bent, and broken these limits. Despite the Obama Administration’s best efforts to undermine our nation’s founding principles, however, the strength of our system of checks and balances has been upheld by the courts and continuing congressional oversight.

Hagan has a 34% job approval rating with 36% disapproving of her and 31% not sure. Only 49% of Democrats approve of Hagan’s job performance and 35% of Democrats aren’t sure, indicating that Hagan needs to consolidate her party’s base of support between now and 2014. Similar to PPP’s December poll, Hagan has at least a 6 point advantage (but no larger than 10 points) over seven potential Republican challengers: 47/38 over Phil Berger, 46/40 over Renee Ellmers, 47/40 over Virginia Foxx, 45/37 over George Holding, 45/39 over Patrick McHenry, 46/38 over Robert Pittenger and 47/37 over Thom Tillis. “Kay Hagan appears somewhat vulnerable in 2014, but the big question for Republicans is whether or not they can find a strong statewide candidate to challenge the Democratic incumbent,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. The mix of Republican candidates is slightly different from PPP’s December poll, but the top choice of GOP voters is the same. Foxx comes out on top at 21%, followed by McHenry (15%), Ellmers (11%), Pittenger (6%), Berger (5%), Hudson (5%), Holding (2%) and Tillis (2%). 33% of respondents support someone else or are not sure.
