On April 27 and 28, the famous play made its way to the Windsor stage with a twist: all of the performers were teachers. The play was filled with blood and fighting; however, the humor from teach- ers’ forgotten lines during the first perfor- mance and a never-before-seen theatrical side of the teachers is what stole the show. One of the two performances sold out, with many seats filled with students, fellow teachers, and their families gathered to watch the per- formance. The play began with the appearance of a trio of witches, played by English teachers Whitney Crabtree, Michelle Dalaviras and JoAnn Marty. Macbeth, played by Michael Kraatz, re- ceives a prophecy from these witches that he will one day become the king of Scotland. Tenacious D Kommer Til Danmark!
Tenacious D 2018-12-03 10:00 CET TENACIOUS D KOMMER TIL DANMARK! I kølvandet på udgivelsen af deres første album i seks år og en ny animationsserie, annoncerer den amerikanske kultduo ny verdensturné. Tenacious D kan blandt andet opleves i Danmark, når de to comedy-rockere giver koncert i Royal Arena den 4. juni 2019. Tidligere i år offentliggjorde Tenacious D en stor nordamerikansk turné, der følger i kølvandet på udgivelsen af duoens fjerde album, ”Post-Apocalypto”. I forbindelse med albumudgivelsen kom amerikanernes egen seksdelte animationsserie af samme navn, som man siden september har kunnet følge hver fredag på bandets YouTube-side. Så nu er der for alvor dømt forkælelse af bandets fans, når Jack Black og Kyle Gass følger udgivelserne op med en verdensturné, der bringer deres Grammy-vindende liveshow til København. Serien ”Post-Apocalypto” er en dystopisk animationsfilm tegnet af Jack Black med alle stemmer lagt af Kyle Gass og Jack Black selv. Den seksdelte serie er en knap så diskret fuck-finger til Donald Trump og verdens generelle dystre tilstand, hvor vi følger Tenacious D i deres forsøg på at redde verden fra død og ødelæggelse efter en atombombes fald. I forlængelse af animationsserien udgav bandet i november lydbilledet til animationsserien i form af albummet, ”Post-Apocalypto”. Albummet er produceret af John Spiker og er bandets første udgivelse siden 2012. Som på bandets tre tidligere albums, ”Tenacious D” (2001), ”The Pick of Destiny” (2006) og ”Rize Of the Fenix” (2012), finder man bandets ven og faste samarbejdspartner, Dave Grohl (Nirvana og Foo Fighters) bag trommerne. Jack Black og Kyle Gass besøgte senest Danmark i 2016 foran en kæmpe skare af dedikerede publikummer på Orange Scene på Roskilde Festival.
