Throughout its existence, heavy metal has been mired with controversies; critics slighted the music by shunning it off as being riddled with overblown adolescent theatrics, and conservative groups have accused the genre of being provocative due to its evil lyrical content. Inspite of all those adversities, heavy metal has held its stance as one of the most consistent forms of rock music. Metal music, through its efforts has reinstated the “ancient Indo-European spirit of vir”1 through a Romantic, Faustian form of music culture. This has staggered the general concept of mainstream music and has hence, since long, remained controversial. Heavy metal has never been popular with the mainstream masses, primarily due to the nature of the music. Amongst other things, lyrical content of the songs is one thing that is largely frowned upon and often considered to be one of the primary reasons why metal music has never struck a chord with the masses. But such allegations, while partly true, remain biased to a large extent.

    TROŠKA HISTORIE, NIKOHO NEZABIJE....... jak se říká "trocha historie nikoho nezabije" a je dobré vědět kdo nám ty kýble strouhá Leedy Drums Ulysses Grant Leedy začal svou kariéru počátkem devadesátých let devatenáctého století jako perkusionista v Indianapolis. Osobní založení a zájem vyrábět lepší nástroje ho však vedlo k tomu, že s podporou svých přátel a kolegů roku 1888 založil Leedy Drums Company a začal vyrábět své vlastní – nejprve stojany malých bubínku a posléze i samotné bubínky. Kredit mu vynesly zejména upravitelné malé bubínky (do té doby se SD pokládaly na židle nebo visely na popruhu. Rychlý úspěch vedl k výstavbě výrobny a k expanzi produktové linie zahrnující blány na bubny a rozmanité orchestrální perkusní nástroje a doplňky. Leedy rovněž začal prodávat své produkty ve velkém po celé zemi. V roce 1909, kdy svou společnost založili bratři Ludwigové, se právě oni stali agentem Leedy drums v Chicagu. Ludwigové později začali vyrábět své vlastní nástroje a Leedy drums přerostli. Ve dvacátých letech dvacátého století Leedy naplnil potřebu vlastního prodejního managementu a zaměstnal Georgie Waye, který měl svou vlastní společnost vyrábějící bicí v Kanadě. Mimo svých prodejních schopnosti měl Way i technické znalosti, které uplatnil při četných inovacích u Leedy drums, které jednou pro vždy změnily výrobu bicích. Zhoršující se zdravotní stav přinutil Leedyho svou společnost roku 1929 prodat. Novým majitelem se stal GC Bonn Manufacturing Co., jež později koupila i Ludwig drum company. Sled událostí, které odstartovala 2.světová válka vyústil v prodeji divize Leedy & Ludwig Drum zpět do rodiny Ludwigů. William F. Année 1984 : Eddie, icône fictive et néanmoins essentielle d'IRON MAIDEN, se proclame pharaon (ou momie !?!) à travers un Powerslave baigné dans une Égypte Antique ... Bruce DICKINSON, Dave MURRAY, Adrian SMITH, Steve HARRIS et Nicko MCBRAIN relatent les méfaits d'Eddie sur un huit titres d'enfer. Par son Heavy Métal, souvent sec et acéré (aux couplets) additionné à des refrains en chœurs, IRON MAIDEN signe un retour triomphal. Aces High, premier temps fort de l'album, donne le ton : rapidité d'exécution, chant aigu, ... un excellent cocktail ayant fait ses preuves ! S'ensuit Two Minutes To Midnight, certainement le titre le plus accessible de l'album et à mon goût l'un des plus réussis.

Nach dieser Tour gab es Probleme mit Sänger Paul Di’Anno, über die viel spekuliert wird, so daß er die Band verließ. Sein Nachfolger Bruce DICKINSON machte die Band zur Metal-Band Nr.1, vor allem durch seine gewaltige Stimme, seine unnachahmliche Bühnenpräsenz und seinen Einsatz.
