School Groups – Nakiska Ski Resort School Groups – Nakiska Ski Resort WELCOME: On behalf of Nakiska Ski Resort, a division of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc.(RCR), we invite you and your School group to visit our resort destination this year. RCR is the largest independently owned operator of ski and golf resorts in North America and we pride ourselves on our ability to serve our group clients to the highest level. Our mission is to “provide our guests with the best vacation and recreation experience possible”. Come discover, first hand, what we call the “Ultimate Experience.” Whether it is a one-day event or a week-long retreat, when you book with Nakiska, you can be sure that the details are organized and planned according to your specific needs. Our Nakiska groups department will take care of all your provisions; from lift tickets, rentals, lessons, team-building activities along with anything else that is required by your school group. This leaves you, the “organizer”, with plenty of extra time to do what you really want to do, that is, focus and connect with your students in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. To help you begin your decision process, you will find our group rates, policies, cancellations and other relevant information on the following pages. 1 Nakiska Safety Nakiska and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies make every effort to ensure our ski resort meets the required safety guidelines for extracurricular activities, as outlined by the Canada West Ski Areas Association and school boards. 1.Helmets: All students on school sanctioned ski trips are required to wear helmets while participating in an instructional program. Nakiska provides complimentary helmets as part of the rental package. 2. Trained Staff: Nakiska instructors are accredited by one of the internationally recognized governing bodies for ski/snowboard Instructors. Additional training has been provided to ensure the instructors are familiar with the specific needs of school groups and the safety regulations governing school trips. 3. Lessons: School group lessons at Nakiska include safety and instructional components. Our programs are designed to address the specific skills required to participate in and enjoy a ski or snowboard day in the mountains. Regular Season: Open for booking – Nov 27 - Dec 18; Jan 4 - Feb 11; Feb 22 - end of season * Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: Dec 19 – Jan 4; Feb 11 – 16, Mar 17-29 2016 – Limited availability for booking 6 GROUP BOOKING POLICIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS Group rates and general information: • School groups rates/prices are valid for all elementary to secondary level schools and universities. • All groups must be pre-booked in order to receive school group rates. • School groups are to consist of a minimum of 15 participants to qualify for group rates and be on the same agenda. • School groups that have less than 8 students booked on lessons will not be eligible for group lesson rates • One complimentary adult chaperone lift ticket will be issued for every 10 tickets purchased. • Full packages include; full day lift ticket, full rental package, complimentary helmets for students rental only. Confirmations: • confirmation of numbers for lift tickets, lessons, rentals and or packages will be required 3 weeks in advance . please complete accurately the group information and booking form – email to: [email protected] • ***final numbers must be reconfirmed 48-hours prior to the school groups arrival.*** Payment: • All school groups must pay with one payment. • Full payment is required/preferred on the day of the school groups visit. • If no payment is made on the day of your trip, we are able to invoice for payment if a credit card imprint is taken as back up by the Nakiska group sales department. Payment will be required no later than 2 weeks after the trip date. • We accept: MasterCard, Amex, Visa, Debit card, Cash, and Cheques. • Cheques should be made payable to: Nakiska ski resort 7 CANCELLATION POLICY Food and beverage: • Any school group completely canceling within the 72-hour time period will be charged 50% of the booked food service for their visit. • Dining arrangements cancelled within 24 hours of arrival will be charged 100% of the booked food service for their visit. • Final numbers for your school groups dining arrangements must be confirmed 48-hours prior to your groups arrival. • Billing for the school group will be based on the guaranteed number or actual numbers whichever is the greater. Other services (lift tickets, lessons and rentals): • Any group completely canceling within 48-hours of scheduled arrival will be charged 50% of the service for the visit including lift tickets, rentals and lessons.

    Epic Pass FAQ Epic Pass Products What is the difference between the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, and Epic Day Pass? The Epic Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at all of the Company’s world-class resorts, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stowe, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton and Wilmot in North America. In Australia, the Epic Pass also provides access to Perisher, and is expected to include access to Falls Creek and Hotham for the 2020 ski season, pending close of the acquisition and certain approvals. The Epic Pass also provides limited access to partner resorts around the world, including: seven days at each of Telluride, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies; five consecutive days at Hakuba Valley, Japan’s ten ski resorts; five consecutive days at Japan’s Rusutsu resort; and limited days at Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France, 4 Vallées in Switzerland, Arlberg in Austria and Skirama Dolomiti in Italy. The Epic Local Pass offers access to many of the same destinations and provides the best value for guests that are able to navigate limited holiday restrictions at select resorts.     Vail Resorts to Acquire Okemo Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee Resort, Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and Stevens Pass Resort in Two Transactions BROOMFIELD, Colo. – June 4, 2018 – Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Triple Peaks, LLC, the parent company of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont, Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. The Company will purchase Triple Peaks, LLC from the Mueller family for a purchase price of $82 million, subject to certain adjustments. At closing, Triple Peaks will pay $155 million to pay off the leases that all three resorts have with Ski Resort Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of Oz Real Estate, with funds provided by Vail Resorts. As part of a separate transaction, Vail Resorts will also purchase Stevens Pass Resort in Washington from Ski Resort Holdings, LLC, who was advised on the sale by Houlihan Lokey, for a total purchase price of $67 million, subject to certain adjustments.
