P.71 Présentation de la délégation française aux 3 Jeux Olympiques de PyeongChang 2018 JEUX OLYMPIQUES D’HIVER PYEONGCHANG 2018 INFORMATIONS GENERALES La 23e édition des Jeux Olympiques d’hiver se tiendra du 9 au 25 février 2018 à PyeongChang, dans la province de Gangwon, en Corée du Sud. Il s’agit de la 1ère édition hivernale des Jeux Olympiques pour ce pays qui avait déjà accueilli les Jeux Olympiques d’été à Séoul en 1988. Historique des Jeux Olympiques d’hiver de PyeongChang : Vision : Présentation de la délégation française aux 4 Jeux Olympiques de PyeongChang 2018 L’EMBLÈME Entre calligraphie traditionnelle et dessin moderne, l'emblème de PyeongChang 2018 est inspiré. Explications... L'emblème des Jeux Olympiques de PyeongChang 2018 symbolise une planète où tout le monde a sa place, un mélange de neige et de glace, avec pour vedettes les sports d’hiver. L'idée est que les habitants du monde entier se retrouvent à PyeongChang, point de convergence du ciel et de la terre. Le symbole ‘ㅍ’ représente la première consonne de la première syllabe de PyeongChang dans l’alphabet coréen, le Hangeul, et exprime l’harmonie du ciel, de la terre et de l’homme. ‘ㅊ’ s’appuie, quant à lui, sur la première consonne de la deuxième syllabe de PyeongChang dans l’alphabet coréen, et représente la neige, la glace et les étoiles (les athlètes) des sports d’hiver. Présentation de la délégation française aux 5 Jeux Olympiques de PyeongChang 2018 PROGRAMME SPORTIF Les épreuves au programme : Pour ces Jeux Olympiques, 6 épreuves entrent au programme : • Big air hommes de surf des neiges • Big air femmes de surf des neiges • Départ groupé hommes de patinage de vitesse • Départ groupé femmes de patinage de vitesse • Double mixte de curling • Ski alpin par équipes A noter que ces Jeux Olympiques sont marqués par un nombre record d’épreuves féminines et mixtes. Deux épreuves sortent du programme olympique : • Surf des neiges slalom parallèle (H) • Surf des neiges slalom parallèle (F) Les Jeux Olympiques d’hiver de PyeongChang 2018 comprendront finalement 102 épreuves dans 15 disciplines différentes et attribuerontplusde100médaillesd’or,unepremièredans l’histoire des Jeux Olympiques d’hiver. Présentation de la délégation française aux 6 Jeux Olympiques de PyeongChang 2018 PROGRAMME SPORTIF Nouvelles épreuves : Nouvelle compétition Description Site Curling double mixte Une équipe composée d’un homme et Gangneung Curling d’une femme. Centre Tournoi à 8 équipes. Patinage de vitesse 24 athlètes participent à l’épreuve Gangneung Oval départ groupé (H) avec un maximum de 2 quotas par pays. Classement des épreuves de qualification olympique au 27 décembre 2017. La compétition se déroule sur 16 tours avec un départ en masse. Trois sprints intermédiaires, 4e, 8e,12e tours. Le sprint final détermine le podium, et les points des sprints intermédiaires le classement des autres patineurs. Patinage de vitesse 24 athlètes participent à l’épreuve Gangneung Oval départ groupé (F) avec un maximum de 2 quotas par pays. Classement des épreuves de qualification olympique au 27 décembre 2017. La compétition se déroule sur 16 tours avec un départ en masse. Ski alpin par équipe entre nation L’équipe est composée d’un maximum Centre alpin de (H & F) de 6 skieur(se)s avec au moins deux Yongpyong concurrentsdechaquesexe.Un compétiteur ne peut participer qu’une fois, sous forme d’un slalom parallèle. Surf des neiges big air (H) 40 athlètes au total concourent pour Alpensia Ski Jumping le slopestyle et/ou le big air. Centre L’épreuve comporte 2 phases : qualification et final Le classement final est établi à partir des 2 meilleurs runs (sur 3) de la finale. Surf des neiges big air (F) 30 athlètes au total concourent pour Alpensia Ski Jumping le slopestyle et/ou le big air. Centre L’épreuve comporte 2 phases : qualification et final Le classement final est établi à partir des 2 meilleurs runs (sur 3) de la finale.     Epic Pass FAQ Epic Pass Products What is the difference between the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, and Epic Day Pass? The Epic Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at all of the Company’s world-class resorts, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stowe, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton and Wilmot in North America. In Australia, the Epic Pass also provides access to Perisher, and is expected to include access to Falls Creek and Hotham for the 2020 ski season, pending close of the acquisition and certain approvals.     Vail Resorts to Acquire Okemo Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee Resort, Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and Stevens Pass Resort in Two Transactions BROOMFIELD, Colo. – June 4, 2018 – Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Triple Peaks, LLC, the parent company of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont, Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. The Company will purchase Triple Peaks, LLC from the Mueller family for a purchase price of $82 million, subject to certain adjustments. At closing, Triple Peaks will pay $155 million to pay off the leases that all three resorts have with Ski Resort Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of Oz Real Estate, with funds provided by Vail Resorts. As part of a separate transaction, Vail Resorts will also purchase Stevens Pass Resort in Washington from Ski Resort Holdings, LLC, who was advised on the sale by Houlihan Lokey, for a total purchase price of $67 million, subject to certain adjustments. Both transactions are subject to certain closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. “Together, the acquisitions of Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Crested Butte, and Stevens Pass will significantly enhance the Vail Resorts’ network of resort experiences, adding even more variety and choice for all of our pass holders and guests.
