Epic Pass FAQ Epic Pass Products What is the difference between the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, and Epic Day Pass? The Epic Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at all of the Company’s world-class resorts, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stowe, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton and Wilmot in North America. In Australia, the Epic Pass also provides access to Perisher, and is expected to include access to Falls Creek and Hotham for the 2020 ski season, pending close of the acquisition and certain approvals. The Epic Pass also provides limited access to partner resorts around the world, including: seven days at each of Telluride, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies; five consecutive days at Hakuba Valley, Japan’s ten ski resorts; five consecutive days at Japan’s Rusutsu resort; and limited days at Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France, 4 Vallées in Switzerland, Arlberg in Austria and Skirama Dolomiti in Italy. The Epic Local Pass offers access to many of the same destinations and provides the best value for guests that are able to navigate limited holiday restrictions at select resorts. The Epic Local Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted access to Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass, Wilmot, Afton Alps, and Mt. Brighton; unlimited access with holiday restrictions to Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe; ten total days combined (with holiday restrictions) at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Whistler Blackcomb; and limited access to partner resorts, including two days at Sun Valley(with limited holiday restrictions); two days at Snowbasin (with limited holiday restrictions); five total consecutive days with no blackout dates at Hakuba Valley’s ten ski resorts in Japan; and five consecutive dates with no blackout dates at Rusutsu Resort in Japan. Epic Pass products and pricing can always be found on Exhibit H or at https://www.epicpass.com/ What are Epic Regional Passes? Epic Regional passes have restrictions at their specific resorts with regard to holiday and peak periods. These passes include; the Tahoe Local Pass, the Tahoe Value Pass, the Summit Value Pass, the Keystone Plus Pass (a new pass product for the 19/20 season), and the Whistler Blackcomb pass - a product only available to Canadian residents. What are Specialty Epic Passes? Specialty Epic Passes are tailored to these specific markets. The Epic Military Pass is available for Active, retired or registered veterans and dependents who are verified through a 3rd party. Senior Passes are available for those 65 and older and College passes are available for full time college students with proof of enrollment. Keystone Plus Pass What is the Keystone Plus Pass? NEW for the 2019/ 2020 winter season is the Keystone Plus Pass. The Keystone Plus Pass provides unlimited access at Keystone Resort with holiday restrictions and unlimited spring skiing at Breckenridge Mountain Resort after April 1, 2020. As well as 5 total holiday-restricted days at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The Keystone Plus Pass offers Half-price pass holder tickets available during blackout dates at Keystone Resort. In addition to half-price pass holder tickets available at Breckenridge, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stowe, Crested Butte, Okemo, Mount Sunapee and Stevens Pass. Finally with the Keystone Plus Pass guests can receive advanced Lift Ticket Rate available at Vail, Beaver Creek and Whistler Blackcomb. Epic Day Pass What is the Epic Day Pass? The Epic Day Pass is a new customizable pass product. Guests can customize their Epic Day Pass by selecting the number of days they plan to ski or ride and whether or not to add holiday access. The discount for the Epic Day Pass increases with each additional day a guest plans to ski or ride, reaching up to 50% off window lift ticket prices. Epic Day Pass holders can use their days anytime throughout the season and at any combination of Vail Resorts’ North American owned and operated resorts including; Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stowe, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton or Wilmot Mountain. Purchasing four or more days on their Epic Day Pass will also get access to Telluride, Sun Valley, Snowbasin, and the six Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. Does the Epic Day Pass have any holiday restrictions? Guests can purchase the Epic Day Pass with or without holiday access. Guests who plan to ski or ride during peak periods, like Christmas Week, should choose to add holiday access when they purchase their Epic Day Pass. Holiday restricted dates are: November 29-30, 2019; December 26-31, 2019; January 18, 2020; and February 15-16, 2020. What are the Benefits of the Epic Day Pass? The Epic Day Pass allows guests to customize their pass, choosing exactly the number of days they want, and whether or not to add holiday access. When purchased with holiday access, the Epic Day Pass allows guests to ski or ride any day/s throughout the season and provides access to over 17 of Vail Resorts’ North American owned and operated resorts. Epic Day Passes deliver affordable resort access by providing a discount of up to 50% off of lift ticket window prices. Why Sell the Epic Day Pass? The Epic Day Pass allows your business to convert lift ticket guest into advance commitment season pass guests. Pass product guests lead to an increased renewal rate on passes & locked revenue. Epic Day pass sales mitigate weather fluctuations, trip cancelations and improve price perception. Who is eligible to purchase the Epic Day Pass? Anyone purchasing their skiing in advance of the ski season (while passes are on sale) may buy an Epic Day Pass; there are no age or geographic restrictions. Does my Epic Day Pass have to be used on consecutive days or a set start date? No, the Epic Day Pass has a preloaded amount of days to use throughout the 2019-2020 winter season. The days do not have to be used consecutively and do not have a set start date. Does the Epic Day Pass receive Partner Resort access? When purchased with four or more days, the Epic Day Pass includes access to Telluride, Sun Valley, Snowbasin and the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies as part of the total number of days included. Epic Day Passes with three or less days do not include access to partner resorts. Epic Pass Insurance Are guests required to purchase Epic Pass Insurance? No. While pass insurance is not required it is recommended. Pass insurance details and pricing can be found at https://www.epicpass.com/info/pass-insurance.aspx . When should guests purchase pass insurance? If guests would like to purchase insurance with their pass this can be done on the manifest pass form by selecting the proper pass product with insurance. The pricing drop down will change accordingly. If guests do not purchase insurance immediately they can do so 30 days after initial pass payment or by October 15, 2019 - whichever comes later. Partner Resorts What are the Vail Resorts’ Partner Resorts? In North America Vail Resorts Partner Resorts include; Resorts of the Canadian Rockies - Nakiska Ski Area in Alberta; Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in British Columbia and Mont-Sainte Anne and Stoneham in Quebec. As well as Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado, Sun Valley in Idaho and Snowbasin Resort in Utah. Internationally, Epic Pass Partners include the European resorts; Les 3 Vallees, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France, Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta in Italy, 4 Vallees in Switzerland, and Arlberg in Austria. As well as Hakuba Valley and Rusutsu Resort both in Japan. An updated list of Epic Pass partner resorts can always be found at https://www.epicpass.com/region/partners.aspx What passes provide access to partner resorts? A List of full resort access for each pass as well as resort blackout dates can always be found at https://www.epicpass.com/. Please be sure guests are clear on resort access prior to purchasing pass products. Assisting Guests in Receiving Their Epic Pass What is the benefit to the customer in completing the online customer profile and having the Epic Pass product shipped to them? Completion of the online guest profile, upload of a valid guest photograph and presenting the hard card media is mandatory to access our partner resorts. Guests who have an active Epic Pass hard card can go direct-to-lift at our North American owned resorts instead of visiting the lift window to update their details. How do guests create an Epic Pass Account? For all questions regarding creating and updating the online Epic Pass Account please see the document “Updating Your Epic Pass Account”. Epic Pass accounts can be accesses here: https://www.epicpass.com/account/create-account.aspx When should my guest complete or update the online customer profile? As soon as guests receive their pass number they should complete the process at https://www.epicpass.com/account/login.aspx to ensure their pass is sent to the correct address. Guests who purchased the same pass product as in the prior 18/19 season will not receive a new pass number for the 19/20 season. Can your resorts still print the pass for my guest? Our North American owned resorts; Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stevens Pass, Stowe, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Wilmot, Afton Alps and Mt Brighton can print passes for a guest upon completion of the online customer profile and photograph upload.
