Following the interest in Volumes 1 to 4 from the Precious Seed archive, we have decided to print Volume 5.

This book covers the years 1952-53 and the reports section alone is a fascinating history of gospel outreach from Cornwall to Shetland. With expositional material, such as that on the Pastoral Epistles by W. E. Vine, together with practical and devotional articles, it is also the same eclectic mix of papers that will be a blessing to the reader.

Every Christian should be concerned to learn and obey the New Testament’s teaching in respect of the church. Warmly welcomed when first published, Church Doctrine and Practice has now been fully revised to include further biblically focused doctrinal and practical teaching. Major sections include the church (both local and universal), unity, baptism, fellowship, worship and prayer, spiritual gifts, service, elders, and discipline. New additions strengthen coverage of leadership, gospel outreach, and a variety of pastoral topics. This book challenges us to return to apostolic practice, and suggests many practical ways of both sharing the gospel and building up the churches of God in the power of the Holy Spirit. A companion volume New Treasury of Bible Doctrine is also available from Precious Seed Publications. This book, and its companion volume, are also available in North America and Canada from Steers Christian Supplies.

You can order copies at the special price of per copy £9.50 plus postage at cost.

The are told to be the sowers and the many of them have been baptized and are now in fellowship. When they gather with us, maybe for the first time, to break bread, it is wonderfully uplifting. The reality of having those with us that God has saved is encouraging. Hearing a male taking part, thanking God for His Son and that He died to be his Saviour, is a delight, not just to God, but to the believers who sounded out the gospel to him.

So, as God’s people, we need to look for avenues that God would take us down to reach people for His glory and their salvation. We, of course, do not just strike out on our own; we need to be before God in prayer asking for direction, operating in His strength and exercising wisdom in the literature we use, and title and format of meetings we convene.

We should also be ready to live out the gospel in front of those that we encounter. The vast majority of the generation before us do not read God’s word but they do read our lives. Only if our lives are right will they turn to us in their crises and want the joy and peace that we have through Jesus Christ. 5 PRECIOUS SEED – FEBRUARY 2020 neither is that circumcision, which THE EPISTLE TO THE is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose COLOSSIANS praise is not of men, but of God’.
