FOX SPORTS GEARS UP FOR MLB PRIME TIME DEBUT WITH CULT HERO

Veteran Major Leaguer Joins Network As Pregame & Game Analyst

New York & – The announcer lineup for ’ 2010 Major League primetime coverage airing this Saturday, May 22 (7:00 PM ET) just got stronger with the addition of Champion Kevin Millar. It was announced today by FOX Sports President and Executive Producer Ed Goren.

Millar joins MLB on FOX’s Emmy Award-Winning coverage alongside host for pregame and in-game updates from FOX Sports’ Los Angeles studio during this Saturday’s prime time contests. On Saturday, June 5 , Millar brings his candid clubhouse presence and baseball prowess into the broadcast booth to call Brewers at Cardinals. FOX Sports’ lead play-by-play voice joins Millar for his first FOX game broadcast. Last postseason he contributed to MLB Network’s coverage and made his debut as an analyst for MLB Tonight this April.

“Kevin was a clutch performer on the field and a unique personality off the field which makes him perfect for his new role here at FOX Sports,” said Goren. “Those qualities will definitely add a spark to our coverage while providing us with the top MLB broadcast lineup in the game.”

Debuting in the major leagues in 1998 with the Florida Marlins, Millar went on to flourish in a uniform helping the franchise win its first World Series title since 1918 while becoming a fan favorite from 2003 – 2005. He then joined the and finished his playing career with the .

“When presented with the opportunity to be a part of FOX Sports’ pregame and game coverage, I jumped at the chance and am thrilled to make my debut this Saturday night in prime time,” said Millar.

The 2010 season marks FOX Sports’ 15 th straight as the broadcast home of and the third of a new rights agreement with MLB. This agreement includes 26 consecutive weeks of exclusive FOX SATURDAY GAME OF THE WEEK coverage, the All-Star Game, alternating League Championships Series and the World Series through the 2013 season.
