DUNCTON is a parish on the road from Petworth to Chichester, three miles south of Petworth, and eleven north east of Chichester; in Sutton union, Rotherbridge hundred, and rape of Arundel, West Sussex; with a population in 1851 of 272. The church is in the Early style of English architecture, is an ancient struc ture, and has prebendal stalls still remaining in the chancel.
