La situación actual en este ámbito se analiza con especial énfasis en los edificios y espa- cios religiosos atípicos. Los autores muestran que la dominación del tradicionalismo en la expresión arquitectónica no está basada en restricciones canónicas, sino el resultado del esfuerzo de establecer la continuidad interrumpida mediante la imita- cion de formas de épocas anteriores. La libertad de creación arquitectónica en este campo se justifica observando con la varie- dad de las formas existentes a través de la historia, entre las cuales los zapis son particularmente interesantes. ABSTRACT This paper presents the possibilities of the development of new forms of religious architecture in Serbian Orthodox Church, on the basis of certain traditions.     religions Article Green Patriarch, Green Patristics: Reclaiming the Deep Ecology of Christian Tradition Elizabeth Theokritoff Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, Cambridge CB4 1ND, UK; [email protected] Received: 23 May 2017; Accepted: 16 June 2017; Published: 30 June 2017 Abstract: In environmental circles, there is an increasing awareness of the Orthodox tradition, largely thanks to the speeches and initiatives of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople. Less widely known is the considerable body of other Orthodox writing, which is less concerned with specific ecological problems, but addresses in greater depth the theological themes found in his pronouncements. This paper looks at the continuing development of Orthodox thinking in this area, and the increasing tendency to go deep into the sources of Orthodox tradition—theological, ascetic, liturgical, and hagiographic—to address underlying questions of the spiritual significance of the material world and the rôle of man within God’s purposes for it. It takes as examples four themes: the unity of creation and divine presence; cosmic liturgy/eucharist and ‘priest of creation’; ‘ecological sin’; and asceticism. It concludes that the Orthodox tradition goes beyond the dichotomy of man and nature to offer a ‘deeper ecology’ in which the physical interrelations between creatures are set within the divine economy for all creation. The persecution became particularly intense after a fire at the imperial court at Nicomedia. The pagans accused the Christians of setting the fire and reacted against them with terrible ferocity. In Nicomedia alone, on the day of the Nativity of Christ, as many as twenty thousand Christians were burned inside a church (commemorated Dec. 28 – ed.) However, this monstrous inhumanity did not frighten the Christians, who firmly confessed their faith and endured martyrdom for Christ. One of them was beheaded by the sword, others perished by burning, or being buried alive, or by drowning in the sea. The soldier Zeno boldly denounced the emperor Maximian, for which he was stoned, and then beheaded. Then the holy Virgin Martyr Domna, a former pagan priestess, perished at the hands of the pagans, and also Saint Euthymius, because of their concern that the bodies of the holy martyrs should be buried.

The filling of the Holy Spirit is the chassis - the drive train - of our Christian experience. Let’s pray: “O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, who art everywhere present and fillest all things. Treasury of blessings and giver of life, come and abide in us; and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.” This prayer is one of our daily prayers and one which we sing at the beginning of classes, meet- ings, and other endeavors. It was one of Father Basil’s favorite prayers and he talked for hours on the meaning of each phrase. He found it comforting in his last days. What should we know about this prayer? It was composed by the Fathers of the Church during the first centuries of the Church — as early as the third or fourth century. The Holy Spirit who descended upon the apostles is truly the fulfill- ment, the very crowning of the life of Jesus upon the earth.
