Consumer Alert Regarding Ticket Purchasing
CONSUMER ALERT REGARDING TICKET PURCHASING With so many high-profile and popular events coming to Wharton Center, we have found more and more patrons are being exploited by unscrupulous ticket resellers. Often our tickets are being marketed on secondary ticket websites before the operator of the website has even purchased tickets – and they are selling at prices far above the price you will pay through whartoncenter.com. Purchasing tickets to Wharton Center events through another source might result in paying too much for your tickets or paying for tickets that are invalid. If there is a problem with your tickets, you may not be able to receive help from Wharton Center’s Ticket Office as there will be no in-house record of your transaction. In addition, we are unable to contact you if there is a change in performance time, traffic notices, etc. To avoid being ensnared by unscrupulous ticket resellers: • Bookmark our website, whartoncenter.com for ticket and show information. • Sign up for our eClub to receive information directly from Wharton Center. We urge you to protect yourself by purchasing directly from the official source for Wharton Center tickets: at whartoncenter.com; by phone at 1-800-WHARTON (1-800-942-7866); or at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office at Wharton Center. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY Please observe the lighted exit signs located throughout the building and theatre(s). All patrons should note all exits, especially those closest to your seat location. Our staff and ushers are trained to assist patrons through multiple emergency situations. If you have questions regarding our safety and security procedures, please contact the house management staff at Wharton Center by calling 884-3119 or 884-3116. -

News Release
NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 30, 2019 WILLKOMMEN! ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS MUSICAL THEATRE MASTERPIECE “CABARET” Arizona Theatre Company (Sean Daniels, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) will bring the timeless “masterpiece of musical theatre” (Chicago Tribune), Cabaret and its powerful political wallop to the Temple of Music & Art from Nov. 30-Dec. 29 and the Herberger Theater Center from Jan. 4-26. Directed by Sara Bruner, Cabaret, which first opened on Broadway on Nov. 20, 1966 and ran for 1,165 performances, follows American author Cliff Bradshaw (Brandon Espinoza) and his encounter with cabaret performer Sally Bowles (Madison Micucci) at the seedy Kit Kat Klub where she sings. When she is fired by the club’s owner, Max (David Kelly), also her jealous boyfriend, she moves in with Cliff and the two fall in love. As the Nazis begin taking control of the German government, the atmosphere at the Kit Kat Klub and the lives of Cliff and Sally begin to change. For all the exuberant song and dance, the most powerful aspect of Cabaret remains the political wallop it delivers. At its core, Cabaret is a devastating critique of apathy and a clever and terrifying look at totalitarianism. Packed with memorable songs from “Willkommen,” “Perfectly Marvelous,” “I Don’t Care Much,” and, of course, “Cabaret,” Cabaret is a story that remains remarkably timely, particularly in today’s political environment. "Cabaret is undoubtedly one of the greatest musicals ever - and only Arizona Theatre Company, with a full live orchestra on stage - is able to bring the best in our country to work with the best here to create such a piece,” said Arizona Theatre Company Artistic Director Sean Daniels. -

CJ Delgado Brigid McKenna Michael Ferguson Renee Palmer Abby Foppe Aidan Plate Christine Gulas Caitlyn Porter Sophia Imundo Caroline Rentz Sam Johnson Julia Ruffolo Theresa Junker Maddie Rupper Peyton Kuntz Lauren Shenk Marie Lunne Taylor Thornburg Isabella Magnusen Annabel Wildermuth Love you all! Mrs. Sears March 2021 Tim Rice Alter Castle Players Proudly Present Tim Rice has worked in music, theatre and films since 1965 when he met Andrew Lloyd Webber, a fellow struggling songwriter. Rather than pursue Tim’s ambitions to write rock or pop songs they turned their attention to Andrew’s obsession—musical theatre. Their first collaboration (lyrics by Tim, music by Andrew) was an unsuccessful show based on the life of Dr. Barnardo, the Victorian philanthropist, The Likes Of Us. Their next three works together JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING were much more successful—Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. Tim has since worked with other distinguished popular composers such as Elton John (The Lion King, TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT Aida), Alan Menken (Aladdin, King David, Beauty and the Beast), Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson (Chess) and most recently, Stuart Brayson (From Here To Eternity). Lyrics by Tim Rice, Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber A new production of From Here To Eternity made its début at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre, New York, in June 2016, and played in the Fall of 2017 at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine. -

Nina Simone: Four Women a Provocative and Powerful Musical Exploration
Amy Moorby Press Manager (413) 448-8084 x15 [email protected] Becky Brighenti Director of Marketing & Public Relations (413) 448-8084 x11 [email protected] For Immediate Release, Please: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PRESS PHOTOS Berkshire Theatre Group Presents Nina Simone: Four Women A Provocative and Powerful Musical Exploration Pittsfield, MA - Filling the stage with a quartet of amazing voices, Nina Simone: Four Women begins performances on Friday, August 13 at The Unicorn Theatre (The Larry Vaber Stage, 6 East Street) in Stockbridge, MA and runs through Sunday, September 5. This production is directed and choreographed by Gerry McIntyre (Broadway: Once on This Island, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; Off-Broadway: Spamilton; BTG: Godspell, A Chorus Line, Oklahoma!). Set in the fragments of a shattered world, this provocative and powerful musical exploration imagines a conversation between Simone and three African-American women. In the aftermath of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in 1963, Nina Simone rocked the nation with “Four Women,” her tribute in song to the four young girls murdered. Scholar and artist Thulani Davis called the song "an instantly accessible analysis of the damning legacy of slavery, that made iconographic the real women we knew and would become.” McIntyre says, “At a time when people are feeling the need to do something in our hurting world but don’t know how to start, this production is an incredible reminder that you just need to take the first step. Or write the first note. Nina Simone: Four Women meditates on Nina Simone’s transition from a singer to an activist. -
