Celebrating Catholic Schools Week!

The students at St. Maximilian Kolbe School have had a busy, faith-filled week in celebration of Catholic Schools week! This has been an exciting time to embrace what makes us proud and honored to be a part of a Catholic school. The week began on Sunday with a waffle breakfast after Mass, and continued throughout the week.

Students of St. Max also had the opportunity to dress up and participate in fun activities throughout the week! The school week kicked off with "Souper" Bowl Monday, where students dressed in their favorite sports wear and brought in a can of soup for those less fortunate. On Tuesday students had the opportunity to dress up in what they want to be when they grow up, as well as creating luminaries bags to spread the light of St. Max throughout the community. Wednesday was color day, where classes dressed by color, and got to play bingo with their buddy classes. On Thursday, students wore their best spirit wear, showing off their St. Max pride and demonstrating their penmanship in a handwriting contest. On Friday, it was planned for students to wear their best crazy socks to school but unfortunately, school was cancelled on Friday due to the weather. The kids will have another opportunity in the future to wear their crazy socks to school.

The fourth grade class had a great time dressing up like what they want to be when they grow up. Lisa, an aspiring teacher, even taught the class how to write a cinquain poem!
