It is a day set to honour the dead. We are all encouraged to pray for our deceased family members and friends. Holy Mass at 10:00 am and at 6: 00 pm. May we encourage everyone to attend one of these Masses. You are invited to light a candle on the candle stand on the sanctuary to the name of a loved one you wish to pray for just after the bidding prayers. Parishioners have found this a consoling moment in bereavement. A pleanary indulgence may be gained once in church either on All Souls Day, on the preceding or following Sunday or on the Feast of All Saints. REMEBRANCE SUNDAY: Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday when we remember those who have died in the Two World Wars. The 10.30 am Mass at Our Lady Immaculate church is dedicated to “The War Dead”. There is also an Ecumenical Service at 10.45 am at the War Memorial in Oxford Street, opposite Whitstable Library. You are welcome to join in this service although we are all bound to attend Sunday Masses as usual. TEAS & COFFEE: will be provided by SVP. The SVP are also making bacon rolls this morning after Mass, come and enjoy a hot sandwich and a chat in the Social Centre. Papers kept at the rear of the church. Please put monies in “Papers” box. KENT CATECHIST DAY: is this Saturday 9th November, 11am – 4pm at St Thomas’s Church Hall, Canterbury. There is also another session on Saturday 16th November at West Malling. Please bring lunch. Tea and coffee provided. “For all in our parish who share the Faith of the Church with others: both aspiring and current catechists for sacramental programmes and RCIA. A warm welcome awaits you!”. The session has been arranged in Canterbury for ease of commute as usually it takes place in London so please make use of this great opportunity. PRAYER IN A BUSY WORLD: An invitation from Fr Brendan Grady to attend a reflection titled Prayer in a busy world at St Jude’s Shrine, Tanners Street, Faversham ME13 7JN on Saturday 16th November. The reflection starts with Holy Mass at 11 am and concludes at 1 pm. Presided by Fr Kevin Alban. Poster kept at the rear of the church. All are Welcome. CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: will take place on Saturday 30th November in the Parish Social Centre at 11 am. Tickets for the Grand Draw are now available. SOUTHWARK CATHOLIC YOUTH SERVICE: NATIONAL YOUTH SUNDAY - 24TH NOV: CELEBRATED on the Feast of Christ the King, National Youth Sunday is an opportunity to recognise young people as a gift in the Church, enable the parish community to celebrate young people and affirm the contribution of young people and those who work with them. This year the theme is Significance – inspired by Flame and the incredible Apostolic Exhortation, Christus Visit. Monday 4th November: 7am: Cathedral opens: 7.30am: Cathedral Mass: 12.30pm: Funeral Mass: Archbishop John Wilson will preside.: Burial in the Cathedral Crypt at the end of the Mass.
