together we create Firm Overview

together we create spaces for people results for clients experiences that inspire solutions that work

At Arcturis, we practice relationship based design. The foundation is our collaboration with the client. Together, we explore every dimension of the need beginning with the individual and scaling up to the level of the organization and community.

Our team of architects and designers push the quality and innovation of the design in the context of every relationship it will sustain. The results are twofold: Built environments that inspire and serve people. And relationships with clients that build their organizations locally, nationally and globally.

Believing that design has a social responsibility component, we are committed to sustainable practices and philanthropic activities that enhance our relationship to our communities and planet. relationship based design - n. A process that begins with the individual. Working with the client, we consider and enhance all the relationships that transform a space into an environment that stimulates connection, whether with another person, a community, a higher ideal or a client brand.

Our services include:

Architecture Listen first, then draw. Simply put, this is our approach. We begin with a conversation about solutions and opportunities for success. Our team engages our clients in a collaboration to create a space that works from the inside out. The result respects both the energy of function and the sense of higher purpose that characterizes great architecture.

Interiors First, we consider the interior of the people who will experience the space. We consider their needs for efficiency and effectiveness as well as beauty and inspiration. Then we scale up to the level of the organization. By distilling our work down to this basic level, we often discover dimensions the client may not have been aware of. The end result sacrifices nothing while balancing all the factors that affect the success of the design, including cost.

together we create Firm Overview (continued)

Graphic Design From an environmental graphic to a website to a single sheet of stationary or logo, we believe every design element is an integral part of the relationship that connects a brand to a human being. With this in mind, we work with our clients and other team members to manifest the most creative expression of the client’s brand throughout every project in all its dimensions.

Planning The built environment is about a series of relationships: between people and work, customer and brand, organization and community, exterior and interior, people and the environment. Together with the client, our multidisciplinary team goes beyond three dimensions to consider all the tangibles and intangibles that affect the ultimate success of their project. Our exploration leads to the discovery of new dimensions that drive the creation a comprehensive, effective, flexible plan.

Landscape Architecture Our landscape architects work to extend the client’s vision through the entire environment of the development. We consider every element of the natural environment in the context of client goals and considerations. Our goal is a mutually beneficial meeting of the needs of people, community and ecosystem.

Workspace Optimization Through our Workspace Optimization Support Services, we at Arcturis work with clients to get the best financial and human results from their use of space.

For most organizations the cost of managing and maintaining their facilities is five to six times the cost of construction and design - second only to human resources. And this cost doesn’t reflect the effects of the working environment on productivity and job satisfaction.

Our intimate knowledge of the relationship between “work” and “space” helps us ask the right questions and offer clients smart, savvy solutions that are also cost effective. We use the most advanced, effective technology available to develop comprehensive strategies that may include ongoing support for management, real estate, operations and technology.
