Jason >> Hi, Jason. Come on in! Well, I’ve been a single dad for about 6 years now. I worked full time. Chief flying instructor at Huron Flight Services in Sarnia. Getting time with the kids is a real struggle. There's always a lot going on. I'm just making sure they have everything they need when they need it. Getting sitters on weekends and stuff. It's been challenging.

Daughter >> Yeah.
Son >> Yeah.
Erin >> How does it make you feel?
Daughter >> Sad.
Erin >> Yeah. So, this is a really special day that he's off today and you don't have to go to school. How excited are you about where we're going?
Son >> Awesome!
Erin >> Yeah?
Daughter >> Yeah! Sooo excited!

00:00:51 - 00:01:11 Jason >> I'm just excited for the time we get to spend together. You know it's uh, you don't get a lot of time one-on-one for long periods of time. So yeah, this'll be uh, this’ll be good!
Erin >> So Jason tell me what you thought when you heard about your mom nominated you to get this special surprise today?
Jason >> I was uh, pretty surprised. My mother does things like that. She's been a big supporter the whole way.

00:01:12 - 00:01:30 Ann >> I just wanted to provide some kind of encouragement to him. He works hard, he doesn't think anything about it, thinks its normal life for him, you know?
Jason >> I just do what I do. I don't think I'm that much different than one else out there who love their kids.
Ann >> He's great dad!
Daughter >> The Best Dad!
