FC 24 - BOER WAR MAUSER RIFLE South African Boer War period MOD 1895 Mauser rifle. 29” The following 8 handguns are from the Rotorua R.S.A col- 7mm cal barrel, chamber without markings but with correct lection. They have been welded and bolted to the wall for A prefix serial on the side and German Military acceptence security. This has now been cut off and remains of this are mark. Marked MOD MAUSER 1896 LUDW. LOEWE etc. present on the frame or slide of the guns. Australian Military SMLE NO3 MKI bayonet. 43 cm Blade marked Lithgow 1918. Near all ‘parade’ plating finish to the 12 - WALTHER P38 PISTOL 19 blade and thinning on the guard and pommel. GC wooden WWII German 9mm pistol. Marked P38 a c 43 and Waffen grips and complete with scarce double stitiched leather amt. Most blue, with bakelite grips. Appears to be complete scabbard with frog. VGC and functioning. FWO&C CLR 26 - SNIDER SAWBACK BAYONET 13 - ARILLERY LUGER PISTOL 22 Very rare NZ Military P1875 saw back bayonet. These were WWI German 9mm LPO8 pistol. 1917 dated and DWM converted Martini Henry bayonets at the request of the NZ make. Take down lever is bent and firing pin is missing. 23 Colonial Office to supply 600 Snider Artillery carbines with Magazine is WWII alloy base type and the grips have two sawback bayonets. The leaf spring is placed on the opposite holes in one side. FC CLR side of the grip (page 315 Watts and White). 51cm Sawback blade with WD and ordnance marks as well as 9/81 date. 14 - LUGER PISTOL 24 Metalwork with only slight staining and ExC original cheq- WWI Erfurt 1917 P08 9mm pistol. Missing side plate, firing uered leather grips complete with leather & steel scabbard. pin, extractor rear toggle pin etc and the safety is welded. ExC PC BLR 28 27 - MARTINI HENRY YATAGHAN BAYONET 15 - NAZI CZ27 PISTOL 58cm Yataghan bayonet modified for the Martini Henry rifle Czech .32 cal semi auto pistol. Slide German fnh code marked with WD and solingen contract marks. 18mm Socket marked etc. Missing firing pin and magazine. From the oldest military museum in the world - the Tower was first opened to the public 400 years ago - I moved four miles west to the newest, to become the director of the National Army Museum.
