Om onze onafhankelijke positie ten aanzien van woningcorporaties te waarborgen, verrichten wij geen overige advieswerkzaamheden. Onze visitaties worden merendeels uitgevoerd door externe visitatoren. Dit zijn professionals uit de wetenschap, de overheid en het bedrijfsleven die niet bij Raeflex in dienst zijn. Raeflex is geaccrediteerd door de Stichting Visitatie Woningcorporaties Nederland (SVWN). Sinds 2015 is de verplichting tot visitatie opgenomen in de Woningwet en in de Veegwet in 2017 is opgenomen dat de Aw de visitatietermijnen strikt gaat handhaven op vier jaar. Daarmee zien wij vanuit Raeflex dat visitatie een grotere rol gaat spelen in de toezichtinstrumenten die er voor woningcorporaties bestaan. Vanuit Raeflex willen we corporaties tijdens de visitaties meer bieden dan ‘afvinklijsten’ en het voldoen aan de verplichting. Visitatie is een waardevol instrument om corporaties te spiegelen op hun geleverde prestaties, de oordelen van belanghouders en om verbetertips mee te geven. Gelukkig biedt de visitatiemethodiek die wij sinds 2014 gebruiken mogelijkheden om toekomstgerichte aanbevelingen mee te geven en binnen de visitatiemethodiek maatwerk te leveren.     de firma en C. Kok zette de dienst alleen voort. Het bedrijf van Post groeide ondanks tegenslagen geleidelijk. Hij zette zijn bedrijf voort onder de naam West-Friesche Auto Car Onderneming (WACO), die in Hoorn op het Breed was gevestigd. Allereerst nam hij ook het bedrijf van C. Kok over; daarna de lijnen van Akkerman, Kors, Dudink, die allemaal in West-Friesland werkzaam waren. Einde 1940 werd de WACO op aandrang van de Duitsers aan de NS verkocht. In 1945 werd de WACO een onderdeel van de Nederlandsche Auto Car Onderneming (NACO) uit Purmerend. Dit bedrijf was in 1940 eveneens een onderdeel van de NS geworden. Tot 1 juli 1974 ex¬ ploiteerde de NACO bijna alle autobuslijnen in Noord Holland boven het Noordzeekanaal. De lijn Hoorn-de Streek-Enkhuizen werd door de groene NACO-autobussen als de lijn DA bediend. Jarenlang is dit één van de betere NACO-lijnen geweest. In 1974 werd de NACO in het kader van de sanering van het streekvervoer ondergebracht bij de Noord-Zuid Hollandsche Vervoer Maatschappij (NZH) in Haarlem. Deze onderneming werd al in 1881 opgericht als tramwegmaatschappij en heeft 80 jaar lang tramlijnen geëxploiteerd in Noord- en Zuid Hol¬ land. Merkwaardig genoeg begon zij 50 jaar geleden al met autobus¬ diensten. Dit was op de lijn Purmerend-De Rijp-Graft. Sinds 1974 rij¬ den nu de gele NZH autobussen tussen Den Haag en Den Helder. Van stoom tot stroom De spoorlijn Hoorn-Enkhuizen is een belangrijk onderdeel geweest van de lijnen van Hoorn naar Amsterdam en Alkmaar, waarover de reizi¬ gerstreinen reden, maar ook de goederentreinen naar resp.

(Lisa) Timmerman Masterscriptie Landschapsgeschiedenis Rijksuniversiteit Groningen Broek op Langedijk, april 2017 Voorwoord Roeiend of kloetend – ploeterend – met de koolvlet tussen de eilanden door, groeide ik op in het restant van “Het rijk der duizend eilanden”. De naam van het voormalige uitgestrekte waterrijke gebied in West Friesland, dat al voor mijn tijd werd vereeuwigd in de vorm van een nieuwbouwwijk, spreekt tot verbeelding. Een verbeelding die werd getart door de oude foto’s en kaarten in het huis van mijn ouders en de verhalen van mijn (groot)ouders en buurvrouw. Verrassend lijkt het daarom niet dat ik mijn studiecarrière afsluit met een masterscriptie over het ontstaan van het West-Friese landschap. Toch was de vraag van Archeologie West- Friesland nodig voordat daadwerkelijk duidelijk werd dat ik onderzoek naar de middeleeuwse veenontginningen in West-Friesland zou verrichten, immers: een scriptie moet niet alleen leuk, maar ook nuttig zijn. Een dankwoord gaat dan ook uit naar het team van Archeologie West-Friesland.
