Our University is an institution which,

-produces qualified information through inter-institutional cooperation within the scope of the priority goals and fields of our country and produces human resources with a high level of research competence, also has visibility and recognition in international ranking systems

Research Universities, determined by YÖK within the scope of "Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project", were declared by the Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the 2017-2018 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony held on September 26, 2017 in the Presidency Complex. Selçuk University has been declared as a Candidate Research University, but it has been reported that it will benefit from all the possibilities provided to the Research Universities.
