One week before the scheduled convention date, and Clark County Convention…………………….Page 2 despite meeting all requirements, state officials would not approve a physical convention. What now…cancel the convention? No way! They held a virtual Zoom convention with attendees from all SHRW Member Benefits……………………….Page 2 over the state. They preserved! After being forced to cancel our last three luncheons due to the shutdown, and with the restriction on group size still in place, we weren’t about to cancel again so a plan was born…..why not have two luncheons? Nevada GOP Chairman, Michael McDonald Michael McDonald was elected in 2012 and in 2014 under his leader- ship turned Nevada ‘RED’! Michael was a former Metro Police Officer. In 2016 Ballotpedia identified Michael as a “TOP INFLUENCER” in Ne- vada politics. Influencers in American Politics are power players who help get candidates elected and they put through policy proposals, cause ideological changes and affect popular perceptions. Provided by The Clark County Convention National GOP Spokesman, Niger Innis Niger Innis is the National Spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equali- ty—a 75 year Old Civil Rights Organization. Niger serves on the Board of the America Conservative Union and the National Black Chamber of Commerce and is also a life member of the NRA and a Board Member of the America Media Institute. In 2014, Mr. Innis became a candidate seeking the Republican primary designation for Congress in District 4. He won the endorsement of the Nevada GOP State Convention, but narrowly lost a hotly contested race to Congressman, Crescent Hardy. Niger served as a campaign manager for New York’s Roy Innis, Mayoral campaign in 1993. He was hired as one of the first political & social commentators for MSNBC upon it’s launch in 1996.
