Leaders Council Corner

Summer is here and we hope you have a fantastic summer.

We are reaching out to all our 4-H families looking for help in the Happy Days Café. The Happy Days Café is the major fundraiser for the Leader’s Council, held each year. The money raised allows the council to provide enrollment scholarships, give out grants to 4-H members and leaders to participate in other events, college scholarships, member and leader of the year, sponsor 4-H events, etc. We welcome parents, leaders, and youth ages 12-18 years (to work a shift without a parent), or youth ages 11 and younger to work with a parent. Each shifts runs 3 hours long and for your support you will receive a meal! What a great way to meet other 4-H families within the county and have some fun along the way! Please sign up for a shift in the 4-H Scheduler beginning on June 1, 2021. Without your help this fundraiser will go away and all the great opportunities it yields!

Below you will find the requirements when applying for funding (raised by the council) across the many opportunities listed above (or others not named):

 Your club must have worked at least one shift in the Happy Days Café in 2021  After the training, camp or conference you must attend a Leaders Council meeting and give a report of the activity and what you learned  You must work a shift in the Happy Days Café the following year

It is used for scholarships, leadership trainings, project materials, supplies and more.

Please volunteer to work shifts throughout the week of the fair. To sign up to help with the Happy Days Café go to www.weld4h.org, click on “4-H Scheduler” link in the Bulletin Board on the home page. Please see the step-by-step instructions on Bulletin Board.
