Correo: [email protected] RESUMEN: En el presente texto se describen los saberes, las prácticas y las formas de pensamiento de tres pueblos: Nasa, de la región Altoandina de Tierradentro, Camentsá del Alto Valle de Sibundoy y Eperara Siapidara de la costa del Pacífco del suroccidente colombiano. Se argumenta que el papel de los pueblos indígenas en la conservación de la biodiversidad se realiza de manera integral, en el marco de una relación no antagónica entre naturaleza/cultura. Se concluye que las prácticas de uso y manejo de los recursos vegetales, están íntimamente relacionadas con la cosmogonía y el conocimiento de los ciclos naturales, cuya importancia cultural se expresa metafóricamente a través de mitos, integrando todos los seres de la naturaleza con carácter humanizado, los cuales son respetados como habitantes permanentes de estos universos. COSMOVISIONS AND NATURES IN THREE INDIGENOUS CULTURES OF COLOMBIA ABSTRACT This paper describes the knowledge, practices and ways of thinking of three indigenous peoples: Nasa, of the high Andean region of Tierradentro, Camentsá of the High Valley of Sibundoy and Eperara Siapidara of the Pacifc coast of southwestern Colombia. It is argued that the role of indigenous peoples in the conservation of biodiversity is done holistically, as part of a non-antagonistic relationship between nature-culture. It is concluded that the practices of use and management of plants resources, are closely related to the cosmogony and knowledge of the natural cycles, whose cultural signifcance is metaphorically expressed through myths, integrating all beings of nature with humanized character, the which they are respected as permanent residents of these universes. Prado2, Fausto Foresti3 and Fábio Porto-Foresti2 Monitoring of the interspecific hybrid production and trade is essential for the appropriate management of these animals in fish farms. The identification of catfish hybrids by morphological analysis is unreliable, particularly of juveniles and post-F1 individuals. Therefore, in the present study, we used five molecular markers (four nuclear genes and one mitochondrial gene) to detect hybrids in the trade of pimelodid juvenile fish from different stocks purchased of five seed producers in Brazil. Samples commercialized as pintado (pure species Pseudoplatystoma corruscans) from three fish farms were genetically identified as hybrid cachapinta (♀P. reticulatum x ♂ P. corruscans). In the stocks purchased as cachandiá (hybrid between ♀ P. reticulatum x ♂ Leiarius marmoratus) and cachapira (hybrid between ♀ P. reticulatum x ♂ Phractocephalus hemioliopterus), we suggested the occurrence of intergenus crosses involving the hybrid cachapinta, which was used instead of the pure species P. reticulatum. The problems involving the hybrid cachapinta production were discussed in the present study, especially because these animals have caused genetic contamination and threatened the genetic integrity of natural and cultivated populations. In order to improve the surveillance of the production and provide criteria for the correct management of catfish hybrids, genetic markers has become an excellent alternative to the morphological identification, including juveniles or post-F1 generations. The phylogenetic placement of Madagasikaria was estimated by using combined data from ndhF and trnL-F chloroplast sequences and phytochrome (PHYC) and ITS nuclear sequences. It forms a strongly supported clade with the Malagasy endemic genera Rhynchophora and Microsteira. Despite nearly identical ¯oral morphology among species in this clade (here called the madagasikarioid clade), these genera are easily distinguishable on the basis of their fruits. The schizocarpic fruits of Madagasikaria have distinctive mericarps. Each mericarp has a lateral wing, which completely encircles the nut, and a peculiar dorsal wing, which folds over on itself.
