Overview 1.1 This selection policy (Selection Policy) sets out the basis on which Athletics Australia will select its representative team (Team) for the World Athletics Under 20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya from 17th – 22nd August, 2021 (the Event). This Selection Policy aligns with the Athletics Australia 2018-21 Strategic Plan and the Athletics Australia Selection Philosophy, each of which can be found at www.athletics.com.au. 1.2 This Selection Policy will, when approved by the Athletics Australia Board, constitute Nomination or Selection Criteria (as defined in the Athletics Australia By-Laws) in respect of the nomination/selection of individuals or teams for the Event. 1.3 Please note that, at the discretion of the Athletics Australia board, if government advice recommends against travel to these Championships, or if the risk is deemed too great for athletes, staff, and the organisation, a team may not be sent to compete. 2.
