Marietta, GA Jimmy Rave brought original XTC to crowds in Georgia, he withstood toilet paper assaults from fans in ROH as a member of the Embassy, and he brought a Rock and Rave infection to crowds in TNA. Nowadays, he is the crown Jewel of the Hierarchy and sits on his throne as the undisputed best wrestler in AWE. Rave outlasted Raphael King, Sugar Dunkerton , Kyle Matthews and Chip Day over the course of a single night to capture the Georgia Wrestling Crown Championship, the top prize in AWE. He continues to face any and all comers as champion, including such standouts as A.R. Fox, Gunner, Davey Richards, Johnny Gargano and Martin Stone. He is “The Man With The Smallest Package in Wrestling” Jimmy Rave! Signature Moves: The Move That Rocks the World – Swinging leg hook fireman’s carry slam Doppler Effect – Running knee strike to a seated opponent’s head From Dusk Till Dawn – Tilt-a-whirl head scissors takedown transitioned into a crossface Chip Day Height: 5’10” Weight: 199 lbs. Kennesaw, GA The city of Kennesaw, Georgia once passed an ordinance requiring all citizens to own a gun. Chip Day was the only man that got out of having to buy one. One look at his vicious kicks and it’s easy to understand why. The Kennesaw Kicking Machine has racked up wins in AWE over notables such as Sami Callihan, Adrian Armour and Cedric Alexander in singles competition. Along with tag partner and fellow Hierarchy member Murder One, they form the team known as THE KRAKEN and have run roughshod over any and all comers in AWE, and have set their eyes on tag team gold. He is the James Dean of Professional Wrestling, Chip Day! Signature Moves: Atomic Northern Lights Bomb – Northern Lights Bomb Day Of The Dead – Double Knees The General Knee – Knee Fame-asser Murder One Height: 6’3” Weight: 255 lbs. Hottsville, Mars Hailing from the Dark City, The Urban Legend Murder One is the most notorious figure in AWE, and perhaps all of Georgia. After training Chip Day, Jimmy Rave and Iceberg, fate would see the four men align in AWE to form The Hierarchy, and the company hasn’t been the same since. Several groups have tried to end the reign of the Hierarchy, but none have been successful. In early 2016, he recruited Kimber Lee to aid in the dominance of AWE’s ROAR division, but quickly saw her as a valuable ally as a tag partner as well. Murder One has pinned Sabu, and as a member of the KRAKEN with Chip Day, own victories over Tommy Dreamer and Moose. His violent and bloody nature has been on display in battles with Owen Knight, including a no holds barred match that saw a door torn from its hinges and a first blood match that almost saw him lose an eye. When the battles are in the ring, Murder One relies on his Blazing Lariat, or a diving cutter known simply as Ether. Signature Moves: The Ether – Ace Crusher Blazing Lariat – Lariat Doja Bomb – Blue Thunder Bomb Cthulhu’s Dance – senton Marti Belle Height: 5’5” Weight: 130 lbs. New York, NY After winning championships all over the country, the New York City native has set her sights on AWE’s ROAR women’s division to prove she is more than a “Knockout”. Arriving on the scene in 2015, Belle challenged the reigning king of ROAR, Ashton Starr, and defeated him in short order. The feud has reignited as of late, after Marti attempted to destroy Ashton’s beloved stuffed Pikachu. The two have yet to square off in a rematch, but have shared the ring in four way matches that turned violent for the two. Armed with her Hell’s Bells finisher, she’s made her claim to the top of the ROAR division, and is ready to defend it at all costs. Signature Moves: Hell’s Bells – Kneeling somersault neckbreaker Martin Stone Height: 6’0” Weight: 220 lbs. London, England Stone arrived in AWE on a mission to destroy the Hierarchy. After helping his team score a win over the group, he set his sights on singles competition. His hard fought win over Tommaso Ciampa had fans throwing money in the ring. His wins over the likes of Adrian Armour and Jaxson James have cemented him as a universally loved competitor, which is a rarity in the savage crowd that makes up an AWE show. Whether it’s chugging a cold pint or being carried from the ring on the shoulders of his adoring fans, there’s no doubt that in AWE He’s the man, He’s the boss, He’s the F’N Guv’nor! Signature Moves: London Bridge – Rope hung spike DDT Adrian Armour Height: 6’2” Weight: 240 lbs. Atlanta, GA Trained by Fred Avery, Adrian Armour is the lone surviving hero in the war against the Hierarchy. Armed with his Destructo Disc Lariat, he’s never backed down from a fight. His battles with David Star, Sylar Cross and Chip Day haven’t always gone in his favor, but his motivation grows nonetheless. He spends nearly every free moment in the gym and training in the ring, preparing for his eventual shot at the Georgia Wrestling Crown championship. At just 22 years old, the sky is the limit for the leader of the heroes of AWE. Signature Moves: Destructo Disk – Discus Lariat Code Black – Flying knee out of the 2nd corner Turnbuckle Dungeon Queen – Cradle Swinging Facebuster Wrestlers in other Game Editions Who Appeared in Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment Drew Galloway – Evolve 2 Suge D – Freelance Wrestling Arik Royal – National Pro Wrestling Day Moose – Ring of Honor Celebration of Honor Cedric Alexander – Ring of Honor Final Battle Shane Strickland – CZW Set 2 Davey Vega – Absolute Intense Wrestling Kimber Lee – CZW Set 2 Tomasso Ciampa – Ring of Honor Johnny Gargano – Evolve AR Fox – Evolve DJ Hyde – CZW Ethan Page – Absolute Intense Wrestling Sami Callahan – CZW Heidi Lovelace – Shimmer Volume 2.

wXw holds keynote on wXw NOW streaming service, announces details on Germany's first wrestling network wXw just announced the first in-depth details on our new "wXw NOW" streaming network, which will launch one month from now on 8/13 at www.wxwnow.de. It will not just be a collection of shows like a lot of companies offer for a monthly fee via Pivotshare but also offer original content and a lot of archived shows, some dating back as far as 2006. We will also have our uniquely designed interface/UI, while hosting and infrastructure will be managed by Vimeo, our long-time streaming partner, dating back to 2013. Wrestling journalist Markus Gronemann (DarkMat.eu, Wrestling Observer) considers this to be the biggest launch of an over-the-top pro wrestling channel by a single promotion since New Japan World. wXw Managing Director Christian Jakobi held a keynote presentation tonight at 8 pm CEST at the wXw Wrestling Academy training school, which was streamed live on Facebook (the video is available, albeit only in German, here) and talked about what future and past events and what kind of original content would be available. We had up to 750 viewers simultaneously on Facebook and also had some students and a trainer (Toby Blunt) in attendance to provide some crowd noise and cheering at key points during the announcement. Marquee Events are wXw's version of pay-per-view caliber shows, where feuds start and end and international talent often appears. There currently are 10 marquee events on the calendar, with some of them being multi-day shows:

  • Cubed Circle Newsletter 241 – Consistency Is Hard
Cubed Circle Newsletter 241 – Consistency is Hard As many of probably noticed, we have been posting late and sporadically for the last month. This was, obviously, not our intention, but with the second semester eating into my free time, staying up to date is a tall order. Even without the newsletter itself seeing weekly publication the site has still remained up to date on a weekly basis, thanks primarily to co-author Ben Carass, as well as guest writers Paul Cooke and Leslie Lee III. But, the newsletter has survived for well over 241 weeks, and will hopefully thrive in the years to come. I have attempted to make provisions for publishing related tasks which should minimize the risk of major delays (obviously there will be some regular delays, as this late issue can attest), but we have some fail safes in place in order to keep this to a minimum. With all of this said, we have a great issue for everyone this week with Paul Cooke discussing the Pro-Wrestling Only Greatest Wrestler Ever project and his personal experience with the poll, Ben covers the news including tons of results from Japan and the Lesnar USADA violation, the Mixed Bag returns with a look at comedy wrestling, Ricochet/Ospreay, and a potential WWE match of the year -- plus Ben also looks at last Sunday's Battleground show and the first RAW of the brand split (a very good show). Also, for those unaware, we now have an official Twitter account @CubedCircleWres allowing the banger to unprecedented highs at @BenCarass and @RyanClingman.
