Situated on a beautiful campus featuring state-of-the-art technology, multiple athletic (916) 786-2051 venues, and a 400-seat performing arts theater, the school is the centerpiece of the community. www.rjuhsd.us From its inception in 1996, parents, students, teachers and community members have worked together to create a school that challenges students with a rigorous and relevant education in a District Governing Board dynamic environment marked by a real sense of community. By offering 20 Advanced Placement Mrs. Linda M. Park, President courses (AP), 16 International Baccalaureate courses (IB), GBHS challenges students in preparing them for college success. Four different Career Technical Education Programs of Study Mrs. Paige K. Stauss, Vice President (Engineering, Computer Science, Business, and Media) provide viable college and career opportunities for students. GBHS also boasts over 24 athletic programs and over 50 extra- Mr. Scott E. Huber, Clerk curricular clubs, including the Emerald Brigade Band, Speech and Debate, and GBHS FIRST Mr. R. Mr. Rene Aguilera, Member With a strong emphasis on high achievement in academics, athletics, the arts, and career technical education, GBHS was recently ranked in the top 2% of American high schools by both District Administration Newsweek and US News and World Report. Granite Bay HS currently serves a population of 2108 Mr. Ron Severson students and it is one of five comprehensive high schools in the Roseville Joint Union High School Superintendent District. Seven full-time custodial, maintenance, and grounds employees clean and maintain 82 classrooms, 6 technology labs, a 500-seat theater, the Learning Center, cafeteria and two gymnasiums. The campus is also fortunate to have an all- weather track and field, a swimming pool complex, a state of the art weight training facility, and several athletic fields including separate fields for soccer, football, baseball, and softball. All teaching stations, restrooms, and facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with local, district, and state standards. Our commitment to student health and safety is manifested through the staffing of four full-time counselors, one full-time student support counselor, a learning support specialist, 8 para-educators, a school nurse, full-time School Resource Officer, two 7-hour campus monitors, and one psychologist. GBHS has a closed-campus policy. Students and visitors are supervised and monitored before school, during breaks, at lunch and immediately after school by the principal, four assistant principals, School Resource Officer, and two campus monitors. Teachers also participate in several extra-curricular activities
