SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. W. F. MITCHELL.---Mr. William Frederick MITCHELL, of Calshot, Yelfs-road, died very suddenly on Thursday evening. It appears that the deceased gentleman, who was 69 years of age, was making a purchase at Mr. SHILLING’s shop in Union- street when he was suddenly seized with pains, collapsed, and died almost immediately. As a marine artist, Mr. MITCHELL was known throughout the country for his great skill and wonderful style. For several years he illustrated Brassey’s “Naval Annual,” and in 1905, in conjuction with W. Christian SYMONS, he brought out a book on the Fleet, entitled “The British Navy, Past and Present.” He suffered under the great affliction of being dumb. An inquest will be held today (Saturday). ------
